Note de contenu : 1. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) The supervised classification of optical image time series allow the production of accurate land cover maps over large areas. However, the precision yielded by learning algorithms strongly depends on the quality of the reference data. The reference databases covering a large geographical area usually contain noisy data with an important number of mislabeled instances. These labeling errors result in longer training time, less accurate classifiers, and ultimately poorer results. To address this issue, we proposed a new iterative learning framework that removes mislabeled data from the training set. Specifically, a preliminary outlier rejection procedure based on the well-known Random Forest algorithm is proposed. The presented strategy is tested with the classification of Sentinel-2 image time series acquired on 2016 by using an out-of-date reference dataset collected on 2014. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (auteur) SAR differential interferometry represents an efficient tool to spatially monitor small ground deformations. During the last fifteen years, methods based on image time series, such as Persistent Scatterers technique, have shown their capabilities for monitoring finer displacements with millimeter precision. With the launch of Sentinel 1A and 1B in April 2014 and 2016, it is now possible to work with free time series of medium resolution images. The rapid revisit time (6 days) of this new constellation limits the temporal decorrelation, which makes it possible to have a high PS density, especially in urban areas. This reduction of the distance between PSs would then reduce the dispersion of the displacement measurements, so that the main source of error in deformation measurement will be due to the variation of the atmospheric composition.Major cities such as the city of Paris are experiencing constant changes that involve major construction works, both on the surface and underground. Paris for instance has started a new project called “Grand Paris”, which aims at transforming the Parisian metropolitan area with in particular major developments in transport network (subway, train and tramway). Such projects usually come with important pumping of groundwater or large excavations, whose surface impacts must be monitored with precision during and after the operations. In this context, Sentinel 1 data is a promising alternative of precedent radar satellite images, which guarantees the continuous availability of data for all applications and offers a good opportunity to develop operational monitoring applications. Even with a medium resolution, it is still possible to consider a use of this technique for monitoring displacements related to human activity (pumping of groundwater, construction of underground structures...) in urban areas. In this paper, we will present our first results obtained with a stack of Sentinel 1A and 1B images (29 images from S1-A and S1-B already processed, probably 45 for the Fringe workshop) acquired in IW mode. The PS processing is performed by using Gamma software. Some specific areas where construction works have already started are currently investigated to try to identify meaningful displacement patterns. In order to avoid limitations such as difficult PS identification and wrong interpretation of the deformation, we consider integrating PS results in processes of monitoring with others geodetic measurements (GPS, tachometry or leveling) acquired by companies specialized in high-precision topography, in order to better analyze and understand the deformations, their related processes and risks. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (Auteur) Using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry to monitor long-term millimeter-level deformation of urban infrastructures, such as individual buildings and bridges, is an emerging and important field in remote sensing. In the state-of-the-art methods, deformation parameters are retrieved and monitored on a pixel basis solely in the SAR image domain. However, the inevitable side-looking imaging geometry of SAR results in undesired occlusion and layover in urban area, rendering the current method less competent for a semantic-level monitoring of different urban infrastructures. This paper presents a framework of a semantic-level deformation monitoring by linking the precise deformation estimates of SAR interferometry and the semantic classification labels of optical images via a 3-D geometric fusion and semantic texturing. The proposed approach provides the first “SARptical” point cloud of an urban area, which is the SAR tomography point cloud textured with attributes from optical images. This opens a new perspective of InSAR deformation monitoring. Interesting examples on bridge and railway monitoring are demonstrated. This study presents a workflow to extract the extent of urbanized ground using decision-level fusion and regularization of individual classifications on Sentinel-2 and SPOT-6 satellite images. First, both images are classified individually in five classes, using state-of-the-art supervised classification approaches and Convolutional Neural Networks. Decision-level fusion and regularization are used to combine the spatial and spectral advantages of both sources: First, both sources are merged in order to extract building labels with as high semantic and spatial precision as possible. Second, the building labels are used together with the Sentinel-2 classification as input for a binary classification of the artificialized area; the building labels from the regularization are dilated in order to connect the building objects and a binary classification is derived from the original Sentinel-2 classification before these two separate binary classifications are reintroduced in a fusion and regularization to find the artificialized area. Segmentation of the Sentinel-2 satellite image and majority voting of the object-level classification are also used to refine the contours of the artificialized area. Note de contenu : Introduction
