[Termes IGN] pouvoir de résolution spectraleRésumé : (auteur) Hypersharpening (namely, hyperspectral (HS) and multispectral (MS) image fusion) aims at enhancing the spatial resolution of HS image via an auxiliary higher resolution MS image. Currently, numerous hypersharpening methods are proposed successively, among which the unmixing-based approaches have been widely researched and demonstrated their effectiveness in the spectral fidelity aspect. However, existing unmixing-based fusion methods substantially employ mathematical techniques to solve the spectral mixture model, without taking full advantage of the collaborative spatial–spectral information that is usually helpful for abundance estimation improvement. To overcome this drawback, in this article, a novel unmixing-based HS and MS image fusion method, via a convolutional neural network (CNN), is proposed to promote spectral fidelity. The main idea of this work is to use CNN to fully explore the spatial information and the spectral information of both HS and MS images simultaneously, thereby enhancing the accuracy of estimating the abundance maps. Experiments on four simulated and real remote sensing data sets demonstrate that the proposed method is beneficial to the spectral fidelity of the fused images compared with some state-of-the-art algorithms. Meanwhile, it is also easy to implement and has a certain advantage in running time. [Termes IGN] seuillage d'imageRésumé : (auteur) In remote sensing, for applications as environment monitoring, change detection based on image processing is one of the most important techniques. To reach high performance various techniques of fusion are exploited using a combination of multi-temporal, multispectral and panchromatic satellite images. A solution for handling such kind of images holds when using some simple statistical methods like the Percent Difference (PD) technique as well as the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) one. In this paper, an automatic change detection method issued from the two previous techniques is proposed and applied on multispectral and panchromatic images captured by a high resolution optical satellite. This approach is characterized by two aspects: the first one consists of the fusion of the different data and the second one performs the detection of the changes for the resulting images. The experimental results show the reasonable quantitative performance and the effectiveness of the proposed method for change detection, consisting of an automatic extraction of most of change information as well as the obtention of better results for most precision metrics consisting of an overall accuracy of up to 91% and a Kappa coefficient of up to 66%, comparing to those obtained using the simple PD and PCA techniques. Note de contenu : Introduction

[Termes IGN] réseau neuronal artificielRésumé : (auteur) Water is important for the natural environment and human health. Monitoring algae concentrations yield information on the water quality. Compared with in situ measurements of water quality parameters, which are often complex and expensive, remote sensing techniques, using hyperspectral data analysis, are fast and cost-effective. The objectives of this study are (1) to estimate the algae concentrations from hyperspectral data using deep learning techniques, (2) to investigate the applicability of attention mechanisms in the analysis of hyperspectral data, and (3) to augment the training data using generative adversarial networks (GANs). The results show that the accuracy of deep learning techniques is 7.6% higher than that of simpler artificial neural networks. Compared to noise injection and principal component analysis-based data augmentation, the use of a GAN-based data augmentation method significantly improves the accuracy of algae concentration estimates (>5%). In addition, models with added attention mechanisms yield an on average 3.13% higher accuracy than those without attention techniques. This result demonstrates the improvement of spectral features of artificial hyperspectral data based on the self-attention approach, revealing the potential of attention techniques in hyperspectral remote sensing. [Termes IGN] République TchèqueRésumé : (auteur) For decades, the Příbram district in the Czech Republic has been affected by industrial and mining activities, which are the main sources of heavy metal pollutants and negatively affect soil quality. A recent study examined visible–near-infrared (VNIR), shortwave-infrared (SWIR), and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy to model soil lead (Pb) content in a selected area located in Příbram. Following that study, and using the data, we examined the spatial distribution of Pb content in the soil, with a combination of traditional techniques (Moran’s I, hotspot analysis, and Kriging). One of the novel points of this work is the use of the Getis–Ord hotspot analysis before the execution of Kriging interpolation to better emphasize clustering patterns. The results indicated that Pb was a spatially dependent soil property and through extensive in-situ sampling, it was possible to generate an accurate interpolation model. The high-Pb hotspots coincided with topographic obstacles that were modeled using topographic profiles extracted from Google Earth, indicating that Pb content does not always exhibit a direct relationship with topographic height as a result of runoff, due to the contribution of topographic steps. This observation provides a new perspective on the relationship between Pb content and topographic patterns.
