[Termes IGN] structure hiérarchique de donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) The monolithic structure of process-based environmental models has become a major obstacle in dealing with complex environmental problems. Interoperability is the inevitable direction for future generations of models. This article discusses the identification of equation functions for interoperable environmental models. These equations represent environmental processes that are implemented as algorithms in the models. The identification of common equations in existing models helps develop equation components that can be assembled to form customized models. In the context of a semantic reference system, formal concept analysis is used to decompose existing models, extract the common equations embedded in them, and organize these equations in a hierarchy of a concept lattice. The hierarchical structure of the lattice helps identify the relationships between equations across different levels and within the same level. Insights drawn from the concept lattice provide valuable information for the framework design of customized models and the adaptation of algorithms from existing models for the development of equation components. An important hydrological process, surface runoff, is used as an example of an environmental process to illustrate the analysis. To support the discussion, a customized surface runoff model is built using three components extracted from several existing hydrological models to predict surface runoff of a watershed. [Termes IGN] traitement répartiRésumé : (Auteur) Service-Oriented Architectures can be used as a framework for enabling distributed geographic information processing (DGIP). The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has published several standards for services. These can be composed into service chains that support the execution of workflows constituting complex DGIP applications. In this paper, we introduce a basic architecture and building blocks for building DGIP applications based on service chains. We investigate the issues arising from the composition of OGC services into such service chains. We study various architectural patterns in order to guide application developers in their task of implementing DGIP applications based on service chains. More specifically, we focus on the control flow and data flow patterns in the execution of a workflow. These issues are illustrated with an example from the domain of risk management - a forest fire risk mapping scenario. [Termes IGN] réseau routierRésumé : (Auteur) Comprehensive and accurate information on the conditions of the road infrastructure is essential for effective management and planning of the road network, especially in cities facing serious traffic congestion problems, as in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. One of the most important services of the local authorities is the rehabilitation of road surfaces. Asphalt resurfacing is carried out to renew the road surface and restore its resistance to weathered and traffic worn pavements. Today, the determination of pavement surface conditions is usually carried out through visual inspections by the experts and interpretation of in situ photographs/videos. In this study, an investigation has been made to understand the spectral behaviour of the asphalt in terms of its contents and age, also to discover the feasibility of using widely available satellite sensors in the determination of road surface conditions. Two datasets in the study area from D-100 road and TEM highway were used to examine asphalt road aging and deterioration. The changes to the conditions of the roads were detected using multispectral IKONOS images and ground spectral measurements for asphalt samples were obtained using an Analytical Spectral Devices full range (ASD FR) instrument in a laboratory environment. It was found that the road deformations mainly occur in areas where vehicles reduce or increase their speeds suddenly. Road sections just before toll booths and junctions are found to be more prone to deformations. IKONOS images can be effectively used to determine the condition of the asphalt pixels.
