This unique software provides data capture, management, analysis and representation for spatial information - all functions that are usually associated with a stand-alone geographical information system (GIS). Though it does not complete GIS functionality, it does what it is designed for very well, offering much spatial data functionality in an easy-to-use manner for an affordable price to people who do not need or want to know detailed GIS. Since MapPoint integrates so well with Microsoft Office products, that is one of its strengths. The following is our review of MapPoint 2004.
