[Termes IGN] tectoniqueRésumé : (auteur) Geodetic velocity (GV) has many applications in tectonic motion determination and geodynamic studies. Due to the high cost of global navigation satellite system stations, deep learning methods have been investigated to estimate GV. In this research, four methods of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), deep Boltzmann machines, deep belief net and recurrent neural networks have been applied. The GV of 42 global positioning system stations is entered the deep learning methods. The outputs of the four methods have successfully passed the normality test. The results show that the CNN method has a lower goodness of fit and root mean square error (RMSE). CNN can learn different dependencies and extract features. [Termes IGN] variation temporelleRésumé : (auteur) Although a dynamic or semi-dynamic datum has been adopted in some countries, it remains a challenge if a long-term stable datum is to be established in a tectonic active area. This study presents an approach to realistically reflect the time dependent behaviors of ground reference points while maintaining the long-term stability of a datum. An adaptive approach coupled with the Euler motion model is proposed for dividing an area into blocks. A least-squares collocation is then applied for modeling the residual velocities in each block. A case study using the data from 375 continuously operated GNSS stations in Taiwan is presented. It is illustrated that the complex surface kinematics in this region can be divided into three blocks. Significant reductions up to 64% of residual velocities were obtained. This shows that a stable datum can be established in a region with active and complicated surface kinematics by implementing the proposed. [Termes IGN] tectonique des plaquesRésumé : (auteur) The NUVEL1-A is one of the old and popular plate tectonic models. While the NUVEL1-A is a geological-based model, recently a model has been proposed (GSRM2.1 model) which is based on the results of space geodetic techniques. In this work, we investigate the consistency of these models with the VLBI and SLR results in Europe. Direction and magnitude of the horizontal motion from NUVEL-1A and GSRM2.1 models are compared with corresponding values from both geodetic techniques. This comparison provides valuable deductions such as: (1) The values of geodetic-based model (GSRM2.1) show better agreement with SLR and VLBI results (2) In each comparison between geodetic results and modelled values, direction divergence is larger than magnitude difference. [Termes IGN] modèle mathématiqueRésumé : (auteur) Least-squares collocation (LSC) is a widely used method applied in physical geodesy to separate observations into a signal and noise part but has received only little attention when interpolating velocity fields. The advantage of the LSC is the possibility to filter and interpolate as well as extrapolate the observations. Here, we will present several extensions to the traditional LSC technique, which allows the combined interpolation of both horizontal velocity components (horizontal velocity (HV)-LSC), the separation of velocity observations on different tectonic plates, and the removal of stationarity by moving variance (the latter as HV-LSC-ex(tended)2). Furthermore, the covariance analysis, which is required to find necessary input parameters for the LSC, is extended by finding a suitable variance and correlation length using both horizontal velocity components at the same time. The traditional LSC and all extensions are tested on a synthetic dataset to find the signal at known as well as newly defined points, with stations separated on four different plates with distinct plate velocities. The methodologies are evaluated by calculation of a misfit to the input data, and implementation of a leave-one-out cross-validation and a Jackknife resampling. The largest improvement in terms of reduced misfit and stability of the interpolation can be obtained when plate boundaries are considered. In addition, any small-scale changes can be filtered out using the moving-variance approach and a smoother velocity field is obtained. In comparison with interpolation using the Kriging method, the fit is better using the new HV-LSC-ex2 technique. [Termes IGN] subsidenceRésumé : (auteur) Vertical land motion in insular areas is a crucial parameter to estimate the relative sea-level variations which impact coastal populations and activities. In subduction zones, it is also a relevant proxy to estimate the locking state of the plate interface. This motion can be measured using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), such as the Global Positioning System (GPS). However, the influence of the processing software and the geodetic products (orbits and clock offsets) used for the solution remains barely considered for geophysics studies. In this study, we process GNSS observations of Guadeloupe and Martinique network (Lesser Antilles). It consists of 40 stations over a period of 18 years for the oldest site. We provide an updated vertical velocity field determined with two different geodetic software, namely EPOS (Gendt et al, GFZ analysis center of IGS–Annual Report. IGS 1996 Annual Report, pp 169–181, 1998) and GINS (Marty et al, GINS: the CNES/GRGS GNSS scientific software. In: 3rd International colloquium scientific and fundamental aspects of the Galileo programme, ESA proceedings WPP326, vol 31, pp 8–10, 2011) using their Precise Point Positioning modes. We used the same input models and orbit and clock offset products to maintain a maximum of consistency, and then compared the obtained results to get an estimation of the time series accuracy and the software influence on the solutions. General consistency between the solutions is noted, but significant velocity differences exist (at the mm/yr level) for some stations.
