[Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Urban functional zone mapping is essential for providing deeper insights into urban morphology and improving urban planning. The emergence of Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), which provides abundant semantic data, offers a great opportunity to enrich land use information extracted from remote sensing (RS) images. Taking advantage of very-high-resolution (VHR) images and VGI data, this work proposed a SATL multifeature ensemble learning framework for mapping urban functional zones that integrated 65 features from the shapes of building objects, attributes of points of interest (POIs) tags, locations of cellphone users and textures of VHR images. The dimensionality of SALT features was reduced by the autoencoder, and the compressed features were applied to train the ensemble learning model composed of multiple classifiers for optimizing the urban functional zone classification. The effectiveness of the proposed framework was tested in an urbanized region of Nanchang City. The results indicated that the SALT features considering population dynamics and building shapes are comprehensive and feasible for urban functional zone mapping. The autoencoder has been proven efficient for dimension reduction of the original SALT features as it significantly improves the classification of urban functional zones. Moreover, the ensemble learning outperforms other machine learning models in terms of the accuracy and robustness when dealing with multi-classification tasks. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Understanding the relationship between mixed land use and urban vibrancy is vital in advanced urban planning applications. This study presents a Bayesian spatially varying coefficient (SVC) model to explore the spatially nonstationary relationship between mixed land use and urban vibrancy after controlling for other factors. We first use the convolutional conditional autoregressive prior to accommodate the ecological bias resulting from unobserved confounders. Then we develop our approach in the case of a single predictor to allow the spatially varying coefficient process. We further introduce a type of the Bayesian SVC model that considers the stratified heterogeneity of the outcome, allowing the coefficients to simultaneously vary at the local and subregion level. We illustrate the proposed model by conducting a case study in Shenzhen using mobile phone data, an officially registered point-of-interest (POI) dataset, and several supplementary datasets. The model evaluation results show that including spatially unstructured and structured component combinations can improve the model's fitness and predictive ability; additionally, considering spatial stratified heterogeneity can further enhance the model's performance. Our findings provide an alternative for measuring the variable local-scale association between mixed-use and urban vibrancy and offer new insights that broaden the fields of environmental science and spatial statistics. [Termes IGN] Wuhan (Chine)Résumé : (auteur) Metro accessibility has attracted interest in sustainable transport analyses. Hence, the accuracy of metro-accessibility measures have become increasingly vital. Various spatiotemporal factors, including by-metro accessibility, land-use accessibility and to-metro accessibility, affect metro accessibility; however, measuring metro accessibility while considering all these components simultaneously is challenging. By integrating these factors into a unified analysis framework, this study aims to strengthen the method for metro-accessibility assessment. Specifically, we proposed the “By metro–Land use–To metro” model to conduct a metro-accessibility index and develop an accessibility-based station typology. The results show that Wuhan metro system accessibility presented a “high-medium-low” spatial disparity from the urban center to the periphery. Meanwhile, the variety of metro-accessibility characteristics and typologies in Wuhan will equip urban planners and policymakers with a useful tool for better organising by-metro accessibility, land-use accessibility and to-metro accessibility. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Sensing urban spaces from multisource geospatial data is vital to understanding the transportation system in the urban context. However, the complexity of urban context and its indirect interaction with traffic flow deepen the difficulty of exploring their relationship. This study proposes a geo-semantic framework first to generate semantic representations of multi-hierarchical urban context and street-level traffic flow, and then investigate their mutual correlation and predictability using a novel semantic matching method. The results demonstrate that each street is associated with its multi-hierarchical spatial signatures of urban context and street-level temporal signatures of traffic flow. The correlation between urban context and traffic flow displays higher values after semantic matching than those in multi-hierarchies. Moreover, we found that utilizing traffic flow to predict urban context results in better accuracy than the reversed prediction. The results of signature analysis and relationship exploration can contribute to a deeper understanding of context-aware transportation research. [Termes IGN] scène urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Urban scenes consist of visual and semantic features and exhibit spatial relationships among land-use types (e.g. industrial areas are far away from the residential zones). This study applied a graph convolutional network with neighborhood information (henceforth, named the neighbour supporting graph convolutional neural network), to learn spatial relationships for urban scene classification. Furthermore, a co-occurrence analysis with visual and semantic features proceeded to improve the accuracy of urban scene classification. We tested the proposed method with the fifth ring road of Beijing with an overall classification accuracy of 0.827 and a Kappa coefficient of 0.769. In comparison with other methods, such as support vector machine, random forest, and general graph convolutional network, the case study showed that the proposed method improved about 10% in urban scene classification.
