[Termes IGN] photogrammétrie numériqueRésumé : (Auteur) Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) is the national mapping agency of the republic of Ireland. The country's entire infrastructure is based on the data OSi provides, including property registration and valuation. Within Ireland, some organizations that they rely on the OSi include local government offices, transportation departments, utility companies, private engineering and architecture firms and those with agricultural interests. OSi evolved from the Ordnance Survey Office, which was established in 1824. It currently employs 320 staff located at is head office in Dublin and in six regional offices. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (Auteur) The subtle effects of different Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite force models are becoming apparent now that mature processing strategies are reaching new levels of accuracy and precision. For this paper, we tested several approaches to solar radiation pressure (SRP) modeling that are commonly used by International GNSS Service (IGS) analysis centers. These include the GPS Solar Pressure Model (GSPM; Bar-Sever and Kuang in The Interplanetary Network Progress Report 42-160, 2005) and variants of the so-called DYB model (Springer et al. in Adv Space Res 23:673–676, 1999). Our results show that currently observed differences between GPS orbit solutions from the various IGS analysis centers are in large part explained by differences between their respective approaches to modeling SRP. DYB-based strategies typically generate orbit solutions that have the smallest differences with respect to the IGS final combined solution, largely because the DYB approach is most commonly used by the contributing analysis centers. However, various internal and external metrics, including ambiguity resolution statistics and satellite laser ranging observations, support continued use of the GSPM-based approach for precise orbit determination of the GPS constellation, at least when using the GIPSY-OASIS software. [Termes IGN] surveillance sanitaireRésumé : (auteur) Since the start of 2010 there has been a flare-up of measles in France, following on the resurgence observed in 2008. The aim of this study was to present results of the epidemiological surveillance of measles in the French armed forces and to describe the increase in incidence. Measles was surveyed from 1992 to 2010. Criteria for report were those used for French national compulsory notification. The data, concerning active military personnel, were provided by the physicians in the armed forces using anonymous data collection forms. Between 1992 and July 2010, 689 cases of measles were notified. Since 2002, the mean incidence rate was 1 case per 100,000. A significant increase has been observed for 2010 (13.9 cases per 100,000 in 2010 versus 1.8 in 2009). The 28 cases reported in 2010 involved five clusters and three isolated cases. The mean age of affected subjects was 27 years. Only 30% of cases had been vaccinated. The epidemic resurgence of measles observed in 2010 in the French armed forces follows the same pattern as that observed nationally and at European level, and can be seen as the likely consequence of inadequate vaccination cover. [Termes IGN] Royaume-UniRésumé : (Auteur) On 1 April 2010, Ordnance Survey launched OS OpenData and it transformed the way people could access mapping and geographic information (GI) of Great Britain. The online mapping portal allows users to view, download or develop the data with the simple click of a button. In the year since its launch, the data have helped underpin a range of applications, helped promote government transparency and encouraged greater take-up of geographic information.
