[Termes IGN] segmentation d'imageRésumé : (auteur) Pansharpening is to fuse a multispectral image (MSI) of low-spatial-resolution (LR) but rich spectral characteristics with a panchromatic image (PAN) of high spatial resolution (HR) but poor spectral characteristics. Traditional methods usually inject the extracted high-frequency details from PAN into the upsampled MSI. Recent deep learning endeavors are mostly supervised assuming that the HR MSI is available, which is unrealistic especially for satellite images. Nonetheless, these methods could not fully exploit the rich spectral characteristics in the MSI. Due to the wide existence of mixed pixels in satellite images where each pixel tends to cover more than one constituent material, pansharpening at the subpixel level becomes essential. In this article, we propose an unsupervised pansharpening (UP) method in a deep-learning framework to address the abovementioned challenges based on the self-attention mechanism (SAM), referred to as UP-SAM. The contribution of this article is threefold. First, the SAM is proposed where the spatial varying detail extraction and injection functions are estimated according to the attention representations indicating spectral characteristics of the MSI with subpixel accuracy. Second, such attention representations are derived from mixed pixels with the proposed stacked attention network powered with a stick-breaking structure to meet the physical constraints of mixed pixel formulations. Third, the detail extraction and injection functions are spatial varying based on the attention representations, which largely improves the reconstruction accuracy. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is able to reconstruct sharper MSI of different types, with more details and less spectral distortion compared with the state-of-the-art. [Termes IGN] radar pénétrant GPRRésumé : (auteur) This paper is a review of published studies involving the use of ground penetrating radar (GPR) on wood structures. It also contains background information to help the reader understand how GPR functions. The use of GPR on wood structures began to grow in popularity at the turn of the millennium. GPR has many characteristics that make it attractive as an inspection tool for wood: it is faster than many acoustic and stress wave techniques; it does not require the use of a couplant; while it can also detect the presence of moisture. Moisture detection is of prime concern, and several researchers have labored to measure internal moisture using GPR. While there have been several laboratory studies involving the use of GPR on wood, its use as an inspection tool on large wood structures has been limited. This review identified knowledge gaps that need to be addressed to improve the efficacy of GPR as a reliable inspection tool of wood structure. Chief among these gaps, is the ability to distinguish the type of internal feature from the GPR output and the ability to identify internal decay. [Termes IGN] Wallonie (Belgique)Résumé : (auteur) Regional land use monitoring at high spatial, temporal, and thematic resolution is an important expectation of Walloon stakeholders. Over the last decade, increased data-processing capacities and the annual acquisition of remotely sensed data have resulted in the production of a large amount of relevant geodata. The INSPIRE directive and its obligations for 2020 serve as a path for the development of a new user-driven and open-source hierarchical land use classification system mapping scheme, as presented in this paper. The process includes intensive user consultation, the development of an entire automatic processing chain, and efforts to address challenges such as big data handling, the variability of input data properties, and reproducibility. The thematically detailed land use map, with its 69 classes, is already widely used by Walloon stakeholders, and new demands for updating have already emerged. Based on a European classification system that is compulsory for all member states, INSPIRE-compliant land use maps will make it possible to carry out cross-border studies and compare spatial planning strategies between states. [Termes IGN] ShenzhenRésumé : (auteur) Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) polarimetry has demonstrated high efficiency in the detection of landslides in vegetated mountainous areas. In such places, post-landslide soil layers appear to correspond to the typical surface scattering mechanism, which is significantly different from the volume scattering behaviour of the surrounding vegetation. However, a landslide in the complex surroundings of various landforms, involving naked hillslopes, construction fields, bare farmlands, and other such aspects, may not be accurately identified owing to the occurrence of surface scattering behaviours. In order to detect landslides using SAR polarimetry without the limitation of vegetated mountainous areas, we propose a novel method of combining change detection (CD) and an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based on the Yamaguchi decomposition (YD) to identify landslides while ensuring fewer false alarms. In particular, CD is applied to a pair of pre- and post-event datasets to determine the regions modified by landslides or human activities, and the AHP is performed over the post-event dataset to identify the suspect landslide region characterised by the surface scattering mechanism. Finally, the two results are fused by a logical operation to identify the actual landslide by removing the non-modified surface scattering regions. A case study of the Shenzhen landslide in complex surroundings was considered to verify the performance of the proposed method (CD-AHP). The results indicate that the method could clearly define the main body of the Shenzhen landslide from the city suburbs with a small number of false alarms. Therefore, this method provides a considerable perspective for landslide detection in complex surroundings using SAR polarimetry. [Termes IGN] station de travail de photogrammétrie numériqueRésumé : (auteur) The development of applied geodetic techniques for mapping and documentation of historical structures, buildings and sites is an important and vital purpose for contribution of any recording of cultural heritage for any country such as Egypt. This is done to preserve and restore any valuable architectural or other cultural monument, as a support to architectural, archaeological and other art-historical research throughout the ages. The purpose of this paper is to use close range photogrammetry technique (CRP) to reconstruct 3D model of architectural and historical mosque facade and comparing the accuracy of using digital commercial non-metric cameras with different resolutions and metric camera with flatbed scanner and photogrammetric scanner for architectural building documentation. El-Nasr Mosque façade in Mansoura city, Egypt was chosen as a case study in this paper. At first, twenty five points were selected at mosque façade at different elevations and distributed at different façade surfaces and observed using total station. Some of these points were selected as control points and the others were selected as check points to validate the results. Effect of control point’s number on image processing and analysis is also studied. Three cameras positions were selected for imaging to get the full details of mosque façade. Close range Digital Workstation (CDW) program was used for processing and analysis of multiple images. The results are indicated that close range photogrammetry using metric camera with photogrammetry scanner instead of flatbed scanner in technique is accurate enough to be beneficial in 3D architectural building documentation. Digital cameras with CRP technique give up different accuracy that depends mainly on the resolution of cameras and camera specifications.
