[Termes IGN] variation saisonnièreRésumé : (auteur) Quantification of regional methane (CH4) gas emission in the paddy fields is critical under climate warming. Mechanism models generally require numerous parameters while empirical models are too coarse. Based on the mechanism and structure of the widely used model CH4MOD, a GIS-based Regional CH4 Emission Calculation (GRMC) method was put forward by introducing multiple sources of remote sensing images, including MOD09A1, MOD11A2, MOD15A2H as well as local water management standards. The stress of soil moisture condition (f(water)) on CH4 emissions was quantified by calculating the redox potential (Eh) from days after flooding or falling dry. The f(water)-t curve was calculated under different exogenous organic matter addition. Combining the f(water)-t curve with local water management standards, the seasonal variation of f(water) was obtained. It was proven that f(water) was effective in reflecting the regulation role of soil moisture condition. The GRMC was tested at four Eddy Covariance (EC) sites: Nanchang (NC) in China, Twitchell (TWT) in the USA, Castellaro (CAS) in Italy and Cheorwon (CRK) in Korea and has been proven to well track the seasonal dynamics of CH4 emissions with R2 ranges of 0.738–0.848, RMSE ranges of 31.94–149.22 mg C/m2d and MBE ranges of −66.42- -14.79 mg C/m2d. The parameters obtained in Nanchang (NC) site in China were then applied to the Ganfu Plain Irrigation System (GFPIS), a typical rice planting area of China, to analyse the spatial-temporal variations of CH4 emissions. The total CH4 emissions of late rice in the GFPIS from 2001 to 2013 was in the range of 14.47–20.48 (103 t CH4-C). Ts caused spatial variation of CH4 production capacity, resulting in the spatial variability of CH4 emissions. Overall, the GRMC is effective in obtaining CH4 emissions from rice fields on a regional scale. [Termes IGN] signal BeiDouRésumé : (auteur) With the rapid deployment of the third-generation satellites of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3), Wuhan University (WHU) has incorporated BDS-3 satellites to its routine Multi-GNSS analysis since Day of Year 1, 2019. This article summarizes the processing strategy and presents the validation results of the WHU BDS-3 orbit and clock solutions submitted to the International GNSS Service Multi-GNSS Experiment in 2019. Although more than 200 stations with B1I and B3I signals tracking capability can be used for BDS-3 precise orbit determination, the number of tracking stations for different satellites diverges greatly; in general, more stations track those launched early and less those deployed late. The validations with orbit boundary misclosures, orbit differences with respect to BDS-3 products of GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ) and Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) residuals show that the orbits are affected by the number of tracking stations and the deficiency of dynamic models. To overcome the latter, an a priori solar radiation pressure (SRP) model has been proposed considering the Earth albedo and antenna thrust. The SLR validation shows that the new SRP model significantly improves the orbit from 5 to 7 cm to about 3 to 4 cm by reducing the Sun-elongation-angle-dependent errors of the BDS-3 orbits. Besides, the clock products have been compared with those of GFZ, and the root-mean-square (RMS) of clock linear fit is also analyzed. Noticeable different quality has been shown for Rubidium Atomic Frequency Standard and Passive Hydrogen Maser (PHM) clocks. The Sun-elevation-angle-dependent patterns are identified in PHM clocks, and the RMS of clock linear fit of PHM clocks can be reduced with improved dynamic modeling, particularly in eclipse seasons. [Vedettes matières IGN] AltimétrieRésumé : (auteur) High-precision sea surface heights retrieved from the Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) measurements will be valuable in the fields of geodesy and oceanography studies. Due to the short wavelengths and low power of GNSS signals, the continuously tracked carrier phase measurements of reflected signals are usually unavailable for sea surfaces with big roughness, varying over space and time. In coastal conditions, persisting spatial coherence assumption can be made within the antenna coverage when the waves are not greatly breaking. To deal with temporal incoherence, we propose an improved algorithm to extract the combined interferometric phase difference measurements between direct and reflected signals under high sea states. After initial tracking the direct signals, dual-frequency observations are combined in the complex domain and the resulting interferometric signal is refined through open-loop tracking with 60-s coherent integration before the phase difference measurements are extracted, without tracking their respective carrier phase measurements in advance. In order to verify our method, a coastal experiment under different sea conditions was conducted and raw intermediate frequency data were collected. The raw data were then processed by a GNSS-R software-defined receiver to compute the path delay measurements of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System signals, which had good visibility during our experiment. For high sea states, that is, when the Rayleigh criterion is not fulfilled for the individual wavelengths, the phase delay measurements of L1 and L5 were random over time, while phase delay can still be well recovered for their combination. Also, the phase delay combination can be well extracted with a higher elevation angle than the previous studies. Finally, the altimetry solutions derived from the carrier phase delay measurements combination were compared with the in situ observations from a 26-GHz radar altimeter. The results show that centimeter-level altimetry accuracy using the combined measurements of L1 and L5 can be achieved under high sea states. In this study, 12 CNN models (U-Net, FPN, and LinkNet using EfficientNet-B5 backbone, U-Net, SegNet, FCN, and six Residual U-Net models) were generated and used for building segmentation. Inria Aerial Image Labeling Data Set was used to train models, and three data sets (Inria Aerial Image Labeling Data Set, Massachusetts Buildings Data Set, and Syedra Archaeological Site Data Set) were used to evaluate trained models. On the Inria test set, Residual-2 U-Net has the highest F1 and Intersection over Union (IoU) scores with 0.824 and 0.722, respectively. On the Syedra test set, LinkNet-EfficientNet-B5 has F1 and IoU scores of 0.336 and 0.246. On the Massachusetts test set, Residual-4 U-Net has F1 and IoU scores of 0.394 and 0.259. It has been observed that, for all sets, at least two of the top three models used residual connections. Therefore, for this study, residual connections are more successful than conventional convolutional layers. An efficient and reliable methodology is utilized to prepare a GIS-based flood risk map for the Assam region, India. At the regional and administrative level, the flood hazard index (FHI), flood vulnerability index (FVI), and flood risk index (FRI) are developed using multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) – analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The selected indicators define the topographical, geological, meteorological, drainage characteristics, land use land cover, and demographical features of Assam. The results show that more than 70%, 57.37%, and 50% of the total area lie in moderate to very high FHI, FVI, and FRI classes, respectively. The proposed methodology can be applied to identify high flood risk zones and to carry out effective flood risk management and mitigation strategies in vulnerable areas.
