Many of the faults have been registered and categorised into three classes: 1st > 50 km in length, 2nd 10 - 50 km and 3rd < 10 km. The majority of the determined faults are from the neotectonic age and they have special significance for seismotectonic activities. The region mentioned has been geophysically researched (deep geoelectric, geomagnetic, gravity), too. Based on both kinds of data, the tectonic complex of the investigated area has been interpreted. The epicentres of stronger earthquakes occurring and registered during the last two centuries have been drawn into the tectonic map. The epicentres of the earthquakes appeared mostly in the tectonically active zones, so it was possible to separate the potential, seismic areas.
