Thus, the possessors of such data are in need of methods that allow for this data to be released without compromising the confidentiality of the individuals to whom it pertains. As the geographic aspect of this data is becoming increasingly relevant for research being conducted, it is important for an anonymization process to pay due attention to the geographic attributes of such data. In this paper, a novel system for health care data anonymization is presented. At the core of the system is the aggregation of an initial regionalization guided by the use of a Voronoi diagram. We conduct a comparison with another location-based system of anonymization, GeoLeader. We show that our system is capable of producing results of a comparable quality with a much faster running time. [Termes IGN] visualisation de donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) In the last decade, research on database visualization has made great progress in automatically constructing charts composed of standard primitive charts. The next research challenge is to automatically construct non-standard charts which cannot be simply composed with standard primitive types of charts. One typical example is the chart of Napoleon’s Russian campaign of 1812. As to the challenge of automatic construction of such complex charts, we may classify conventional visualization frameworks into two categories. The first category asks users to procedurally define non-standard charts by programming. The second category asks users to declaratively define non-standard charts with their logical specification using a given library of graphical objects. Here we will propose a new visualization framework in the second category for automatically constructing non-standard charts from their logical specifications and discuss how to apply our framework to create custom-made geovisualization charts. Such a specification is described by one or more pairs of data view schemata (DVSs) and chart view schemata (CVSs). Each DVS is used for manipulating the data store in a database. Each CVS is used for defining the rendered appearances of the different chart components. Using our framework, users can easily re-create and extend such complex non-standard charts as the chart of Napoleon’s campaign by simply providing their logical specifications. [Termes IGN] transformationRésumé : (Auteur) Homologous feature point extraction is a key problem in the multi-sensor image registration. In this paper, a new feature point extraction method using nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) and an adaptive shrink operator (ASO_NSCT) for multi-sensor image registration is proposed. Moreover, this proposed feature matching is different from the traditional feature matching strategies and is performed using a similarity measure computed from neighborhood circles in low-frequency bands. Then, a number of reliable matched couples with even distributions are obtained, which assures the accuracy of the registration. Applications of the proposed algorithm to different optical images as well as optical and synthetic aperture radar images show that, in each case, a large number of accurate matched couples could be identified. Additionally, the RMSE patterns are analyzed and comparisons of the parameters are carried out between the registration models and the actual ground structures, which further demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. [Termes IGN] varianceRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, a least-squares based cadastral parcel area adjustment in geographic information systems (GIS) is developed based on (1) both the areas and coordinates being treated as observations with errors; and (2) scale parameters being introduced to take the systematic effect into account in the process of cadastral map digitization. The area condition equation for cadastral parcel considerations of scale parameters and geometric constraints is first constructed. The effects of the scale error on area adjustment results are then derived, and statistical hypothesis testing is presented to determine the significance of the scale error. Afterwards, Helmert's variance component estimation based on least-squares adjustment using the condition equation with additional parameters is proposed to determine the weight between the coordinate and area measurements of the parcel. Practical tests are conducted to illustrate the implementation of the proposed methods. Four schemes for solving the inconsistencies between the registered areas and the digitized areas of the parcels are studied. The analysis of the results demonstrates that in the case of significant systematic errors in cadastral map digitization, the accuracies of the adjusted coordinates and areas are improved by introducing scale parameters to reduce the systematic error influence in the parcel area adjustment. Meanwhile, Helmert's variance component estimation method determines more accurate weights of the digitized coordinates and parcel areas, and the least-squares adjustment solves the inconsistencies between the registered areas and the digitized areas of the parcels. [Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a wavelet transformation-based method for fusing high-resolution satellite images. First, a multi-band wavelet fusion method, specifically the four-band wavelet method, is proposed for fusing one-meter panchromatic and four-meter multi-spectral Ikonos images. Second, the fusion experiments are undertaken by using the proposed four-band wavelet method. The results are compared with fused images from other methods, such as two-band wavelet and IHS methods. The results are evaluated based on both visual evaluation and a quantitative analysis, by using several assessing parameters and a new evaluation method: the profile intensity curve. Third, as an application of the fused images, they are applied for recognition and identification of features in urban area. The quantitative analysis demonstrates that four-band wavelet transformation method provides improved fused images.
