Comment venir ?
Pour se rendre au centre de documentation, se reporter au 'Plan d'accès au bâtiment' tout en bas de page à droite. Le centre se trouve dans le bâtiment de l'ENSG. On y accède par le hall, entre l'aile Cassini et l'aile Laplace.

Résumé :	(Auteur) This chapter shows how the increasing availability of digital data at the micro urban level and software based on GIS and remote sensing are now essential in generating and testing new theories of urban form and dynamics. Here our concern is with assembling such data, exploring them in a preliminary way, while setting up methods for enabling appropriate visualisation and computer animation of urban space-time patterns. We illustrate these ideas with property parcel data for the Buffalo metropolitan region, first suggesting that the evolution of this region illustrates a surprising stability, consistent with theories of spatial self-organisation, then showing how basic problems of visualisation need to be explored across different spatial and temporal scales and through consistent methods for animating the data.
