[Termes IGN] traitement du langage naturelRésumé : (auteur) We study the extraction and reorganization of event-related information in texts regarding industrial pollution. The object is to build a memory of polluted sites that gathers the information about industrial events from various databases and corpora. An industrial event is described through several features as the event trigger, the industrial activity, the institution, the pollutant, etc. In order to efficiently collect information from a large corpus, it is necessary to automatize the information extraction process. To this end, we manually annotated a part of a corpus about soil industrial pollution, then we used it to train information extraction models with deep learning methods. The models we trained achieve 0.76 F-score on event feature extraction. We intend to improve the models and then use them on other text resources to enrich the polluted sites memory with extracted information about industrial events. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) The purpose of this position paper is to emphasize the remaining challenges for geovisualization in an evolutive context of data, users and spatio-temporal problems to solve in an interdisciplinary approach. Geovisualization is the visualization of spatio-temporal data, phenomena and dynamics on earth, based on the user interaction with heterogeneous data, and their capacities of perception and cognition. This implies to bring closer together knowledge, concepts and models from related scientific visualization domains, for a better understanding, interpretation and analysis of spatio-temporal phenomena on earth. We currently face and cross several types of complexities, regarding spaces, data, models and tools. Our position here, based on past and on-going works, as first proofs of concept, is to model a multidimensional exploration of the territory, because integrating explorations of uses, styles, interaction and immersion capacities, until various ’points of view’ on the represented spatio-temporal phenomenon. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de connaissancesRésumé : (auteur This article presents a conceptual model of sport events legacy based on the Olympic and Paralympic Games as a reference. The legacy of mega sport events has gained ever more importance during recent years for both academics and practitioners. The International Olympic Committee looked at the concept of legacy, as it is the best argument with which to illustrate the lasting benefits that are derived from the Olympic Games. The Legacy is the way to structure the capitalization of the benefits and lessons related to the organization of major sporting events. So, our motivation is to develop a tool of the sport events legacy. The aims of the article are first, to investigate the legacy sport events literature, second, to propose a Legacy Conceptual Model (LCM) and to transpose it to a database which will be support to analyse the changes related to legacy. This research target also has a practical implication. So, we investigate how the LCM helps to analyze the legacy left by a sport eve nt using a case study. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de connaissancesRésumé : (auteur) Knowledge Management is a way to answer the problem of capitalizing on the companies’ knowledge. Knowing that hosting sports events (SE) requires organizers to learn from past events to not repeat mistakes, we examine knowledge management in a sport events legacy (SEL). Thus, in this paper, we propose in first, two conceptual models based on UML; one for the SE, another for SEL. Secondly, we propose a system to manage SEL to assist in the process of data acquisition and capitalization on SE knowledge. This system helps to create an open collaborative platform for consultation, visualization of the spinoffs of sport events. It is intended to be used by public policies, territories, journalists, citizens, historians and all others. We propose also to take into account the spatiotemporal aspects of SE. [Termes IGN] voisinage (relation topologique)Résumé : (auteur) Estimating visibility in point clouds has many applications such as visualization, surface reconstruction and scene analysis through fusion of LiDAR point clouds and images. However, most current works rely on methods that require strong assumptions on the point cloud density, which are not valid for LiDAR point clouds acquired from mobile mapping systems, leading to low quality of point visibility estimations. This work presents a novel approach for the estimation of the visibility of a point cloud from a viewpoint. The method is designed to be fully automatic and it makes no assumption on the point cloud density. The visibility of each point is estimated by considering its screen-space neighborhood from the given viewpoint. Our results show that our approach succeeds better in estimating the visibility on real-world data acquired using LiDAR scanners. We evaluate our approach by comparing its results to a new manually annotated dataset, which we make available online.
