[Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference FrameRésumé : (auteur) The EUREF key infrastructures are the EUREF Permanent GNSS Network (EPN) and the Unified European Levelling Network (UELN). The EPN runs almost 250 Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations in a well organized environment and serves as the backbone of the realization of and access to the European Terrestrial Reference System (ETRS89) and as contribution to the densification of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF2008). The upcoming European navigation system Galileo will be a big challenge for the EPN in sense of upgrading the station network. Almost half of the EPN stations are capable of streaming their data in real-time. To strengthen the robustness of the real-time data and product distribution two additional Ntrip broadcasters were set up at different premises in Europe. The EVRS and the ETRS89 have been adopted by the European Community as coordinate reference systems in INSPIRE for environmental policies, or policies and activities that have an impact on the environment. The service has established a hierarchy of components to facilitate its mission: a globally distributed network of Tracking Stations, Data Centers, Analysis Centers, a Central Bureau, and a Governing Board. The Data Centers, in conjunction with the Central Bureau, serve as the primary means of distributing GNSS data, products, and general information to the user community through ftp and Web servers and email services. The requirements of analysis centers and the scientific community have evolved over the lifetime of the IGS, requiring enhancement and extension of the supporting data center infrastructure. The diversity of IGS data and products extends today from the realm of the real-time and near real-time to the long-term archive and thus forms a basis for multidisciplinary research spanning decades. Reliability of all components is a key requirement within the IGS and is accomplished through the geographic distribution of data centers and the creation of independent, redundant, parallel channels for the transmission of data and products. We discuss the development of the IGS data infrastructure, current status, and plans for future enhancements. Descriptions of IGS data and products and associated metadata are also included. [Termes IGN] European Terrestrial Reference FrameRésumé : (auteur) EUREF, the IAG (International Association of Geodesy) Reference Frame Sub-commission for Europe, deals with the definition, realization and maintenance of the European Reference Frame. EUREF works in close cooperation with the pertinent IAG components and EuroGeographics, the consortium of the NMCA (National Mapping and Cadastre Agencies) in Europe.
This paper presents an overview of EUREF and describes its missions, activities and the recent developments, aiming at upgrading European-wide geodetic reference systems to support both scientific and continental geo-referencing activities.Numéro de notice : C2006-023 Affiliation des auteurs : LAREG+Ext (1991-2011) Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Communication nature-HAL : ComAvecCL&ActesPubliésIntl DOI : 10.1007/978-3-642-00860-3_20 Date de publication en ligne : 02/06/2009 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-00860-3_20 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=90687 Geodetic applications of the global navigation satellite system (GLONASS) and of GLONASS-GPS combinations / H.
