[Termes IGN] test de performanceRésumé : (auteur) GNSS antennas have no fixed electrical reference point. The variation of the phase centre is modelled and tabulated in antenna calibration tables, which include the offset vector (PCO) and phase centre variation (PCV) for each frequency according to the elevations and azimuths of the incoming signal. Used together, PCV and PCO reduce the phase observations to the antenna reference point. The remaining biases, called the residual offsets, can be revealed by circulating and rotating the antennas on pillars. The residual offsets are estimated as additional parameters when combining the daily GNSS network solutions with full covariance matrix. We present a procedure for validating the antenna calibration tables. The dedicated test field, called Revolver, was constructed at Metsähovi. We used the procedure to validate the calibration tables of 17 antennas. Tables from the IGS and three different calibration institutions were used. The tests show that we were able to separate the residual offsets at the millimetre level. We also investigated the influence of the calibration tables from the different institutions on site coordinates by performing kinematic double-difference baseline processing of the data from one site with different antenna tables. We found small but significant differences between the tables. [Termes IGN] transfert radiatifRésumé : (éditeur) Fundamental Astronomy gives a well-balanced and comprehensive introduction to the topics of classical and modern astronomy. While emphasizing both the astronomical concepts and the underlying physical principles, the text provides a sound basis for more profound studies in the astronomical sciences. The fifth edition of this successful undergraduate textbook has been extensively modernized and extended in the parts dealing with the Milky Way, extragalactic astronomy and cosmology as well as with extrasolar planets and the solar system (as a consequence of recent results from satellite missions and the new definition by the International Astronomical Union of planets, dwarf planets and small solar-system bodies). Furthermore a new chapter on astrobiology has been added. Long considered a standard text for physical science majors, Fundamental Astronomy is also an excellent reference and entrée for dedicated amateur astronomers. Note de contenu : Introduction

[Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference FrameRésumé : (auteur) The EUREF key infrastructures are the EUREF Permanent GNSS Network (EPN) and the Unified European Levelling Network (UELN). The EPN runs almost 250 Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations in a well organized environment and serves as the backbone of the realization of and access to the European Terrestrial Reference System (ETRS89) and as contribution to the densification of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF2008). The upcoming European navigation system Galileo will be a big challenge for the EPN in sense of upgrading the station network. Almost half of the EPN stations are capable of streaming their data in real-time. To strengthen the robustness of the real-time data and product distribution two additional Ntrip broadcasters were set up at different premises in Europe. The EVRS and the ETRS89 have been adopted by the European Community as coordinate reference systems in INSPIRE for environmental policies, or policies and activities that have an impact on the environment. [Termes IGN] système de référence altimétriqueRésumé : (Auteur) A geodetic boundary value problem (GBVP) approach has been formulated which can be used for solving the problem of height datum unification. The developed technique is applied to a test area in Southwest Finland with approximate size of 1.5° x 3° and the bias of the corresponding local height datum (local geoid) with respect to the geoid is computed. For this purpose the bias-free potential difference and gravity difference observations of the test area are used and the offset (bias) of the height datum, i.e., Finnish Height Datum 2000 (N2000) fixed to Normaal Amsterdams Peil (NAP) as origin point, with respect to the geoid is computed. The results of this computation show that potential of the origin point of N2000, i.e., NAP, is (62636857.68 1 0.5) (m2/s2) and as such is (0.191 1 0.003) (m) under the geoid defined by W 0 = 62636855.8 (m2/s2). As the validity test of our methodology, the test area is divided into two parts and the corresponding potential difference and gravity difference observations are introduced into our GBVP separately and the bias of height datums of the two parts are computed with respect to the geoid. Obtaining approximately the same bias values for the height datums of the two parts being part of one height datum with one origin point proves the validity of our approach. Besides, the latter test shows the capability of our methodology for patch-wise application.
