[Termes IGN] UMLRésumé : (Auteur) Recently a national 3D standard was established in the Netherlands as a CityGML Application Domain Extension (called IMGeo). In line with the Dutch practice of modeling geo-information, the ADE is developed using a model driven approach. The classes are designed in UML and automatically mapped to GML schema. The current OGC CityGML specification does not provide rules or guidance on correctly modeling an ADE in UML. This article fills this gap by studying how CityGML can be extended for specific applications starting from the UML diagrams. Six alternatives for modeling ADEs in UML are introduced and compared. The optimal alternative is selected and applied to obtain the national 3D standard. The approach was extensively discussed with international experts, who were members of both SIG3D and other working groups. As a consequence the approach was adopted by the SIG3D, the Special Interest Group 3D which, among other things, work on the 3D standard CityGML in cooperation with OGC. Therefore the approach contains many issues that can be generalized and reused by future domain extensions of CityGML. To further support this, the article formulates a model-driven framework to model CityGML ADEs. Open issues are described in the conclusions. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (Auteur) Many solutions have been proposed for indoor pedestrian navigation. Some rely on pre-installed sensor networks, which offer good accuracy but are limited to areas that have been prepared for that purpose, thus requiring an expensive and possibly time-consuming process. Such methods are therefore inappropriate for navigation in emergency situations since the power supply may be disturbed. Other types of solutions track the user without requiring a prepared environment. However, they may have low accuracy. Offline tracking has been proposed to increase accuracy, however this prevents users from knowing their position in real time. This paper describes a real time indoor navigation system that does not require prepared building environments and provides tracking accuracy superior to previously described tracking methods. The system uses a combination of four techniques: foot-mounted IMU (Inertial Motion Unit), ultrasonic ranging, particle filtering and model-based navigation. The very purpose of the project is to combine these four well-known techniques in a novel way to provide better indoor tracking results for pedestrians. [Termes IGN] ontologieRésumé : (Auteur) Emergency response is a complex activity involving many actors and heterogeneous spatial data. Two of the major challenges are the integration and extraction of these data and their transmission to emergency management actors. Although significant progress has been made regarding the systemic and syntactic heterogeneity of data in this context, semantic heterogeneity remains insufficiently addressed. Here, we discuss the possibility of applying the ontology to resolve semantic heterogeneity in emergency response. We propose a concept for a solution to the semantic interoperability problem in emergency management using an ontology by presenting a case study. [Termes IGN] UMLRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes a framework for modeling interdependencies between different network systems and building structures. It provides an approach for the integrated analysis of interior building utilities by describing a framework to model and simulate infrastructure interdependencies and their complex behaviors. It is a graph-based spatial model that can support use cases such as providing the location and specifications of interior utilities to a technician who wants to perform a maintenance operation. This location could be needed for maintenance or replacement, or to investigate the result of damage to the building structure on another utility network, or to estimate the effect of different maintenance operations in different locations along utilities service systems. The model accounts for two important aspects: first, the relationship between interior utilities and building elements or spaces and second, the building hierarchy structure to which the utilities network is related. A proper hierarchy of the building is developed which supports the generation of human-oriented descriptions of interior utilities, where a method for partitions of large building element and spaces as well as a method to reference a network element to another building are developed. The connection of the different utilities network systems and buildings are generated using joints, which are based on a containment relation. An example is presented which shows the effectiveness of this approach for supporting maintenance operations, as well as the independences between the maintenance operation location and the other network systems. The paper presents the data model and explains the links with current 3D building model standards.
