[Termes IGN] télémétrie laser sur satelliteRésumé : (auteur) Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) offers the only unambiguous sub-centimeter range measurement to orbiting satellites. This capability finds many applications in addition to precision orbit determination (POD), which include a unique absolute measure of orbit accuracy, accurate altimeter range calibration, accurate definition of the Earth‘s center of mass, the most accurate definition of the geocentric gravitational coefficient (GM) and scale of a terrestrial reference network. Achieving sub-centimeter precision requires appropriate modeling of the satellite laser retro-reflector array (LRA) coupled in some cases with appropriate modeling of the satellite-dependant station detector characteristics, a highly accurate terrestrial reference frame, and appropriate attention to possible bias modeling of individual stations. We have processed Jason1/2, Lageos1/2, and TOPEX SLR tracking using the latest and most accurate POD models which include a GRACE-based static gravity, time varying gravity, and the highly accurate ILRS update of the rescaled ITRF2005 SLR complement, SLRF2005. SLRF2005 has been further updated, based on recommendations for the rescaling of ITRF2005, producing LPOD2005. Our analysis evaluates individual SLR station performance and systematic signals as observed from all four satellites. Several primary stations are identified as having significant range biases, which if untreated could lead to degradation in current levels of POD accuracy, and possibly degrade the results for other applications of the SLR measurement. [Termes IGN] station de référenceRésumé : (auteur) Analysing time series of space-geodetic station coordinates, we show that VLBI, SLR and DORIS station motions have a white noise error spectrum, while the majority of GPS station motion have a flicker noise error spectrum. In the latter case, discontinuities in the series do not account for this spectrum. Atmospheric loading has a white noise spectrum, at a much lower level than geodetic measurement errors in the long term. The series of transformation parameters derived for the GPS colocation sub-networks with VLBI, SLR and DORIS have very close spectral characteristics, reaching the 1 mm stability level at one-year interval in a white noise context. [Termes IGN] orbitographieRésumé : (auteur) The long-term stability of the scale of Terrestrial Reference Frames is directly linked with station height determination and is critical for several scientific studies, such as global mean sea level rise or ocean circulation with consequences to global warming studies. In recent International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) solutions, the DORIS technique was not considered able to provide any useful information on scale (derived from VLBI and SLR). We have analyzed three different DORIS time series of coordinates (GSFC, IGN/JPL, LEGOS/CLS) performed independently using different software packages. In the long-term, we show that the DORIS technique, due to its very stable and geographically distributed network, has extremely good stability ( Numéro de notice : C2005-041 Affiliation des auteurs : IGN+Ext (1940-2011) Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Communication nature-HAL : ComAvecCL&ActesPubliésIntl DOI : 10.1007/978-3-540-49350-1_23 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-49350-1_23 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=102721

Since then, 3 new DORIS satellites have been launched carrying improved Doppler receivers. In addition, the DORIS tracking network has also been steadily improved. In 2001, a DORIS analysis campaign was launched. Several groups participated using different software and providing weekly and monthly time series of results, making them available on Internet. The goal of this paper is to discuss the status of the DORIS Pilot experiment, to analyze the progress made during the past 2 years and to propose the official creation within the IAG of an International DORIS Service (IDS). Such a service would operate in conjunction with the already existing IGS, IVS and ILRS as part of the proposed International Global Geodetic Observing System (IGGOS).
