[Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) The use of multiple representations of the same data is a common requirement for several purposes of the implemented geographical information system studies. However these representations should be produced by considering the requirements of the system user. In practice, car navigation process also requires multiple representations as user interfaces of different phases of the navigation process. For such use, the user basically requires interact with well designed maps, which represent the real world as accurately as possible, for succeeding the navigation task comfortably and also easily in an unfamiliar environment. Covering this
requirement is merely possible when generalizing the road data by considering the possible manoeuvres that the user will do while navigating. This study proposes an approach, which aims to increase the accuracy of the navigation maps by designing them depending on the navigation route calculated in navigation process, to succeed in this task.Numéro de notice : C2008-046 Affiliation des auteurs : COGIT (1988-2011) Thématique : GEOMATIQUE Nature : Communication nature-HAL : ComAvecCL&ActesPubliésIntl DOI : sans En ligne : https://kartographie.geo.tu-dresden.de/downloads/ica-gen/workshop2008/02_Dogru_e [...] Format de la ressource électronique : URL Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=103418 A prototype generalisation system based on the multi-agent system paradigm / Cécile Duchêne (01/01/2007)

[Termes IGN] système multi-agentsRésumé : (Auteur) Automation of the generalisation process is one of the main research subjects of the COGIT laboratory. The automation of this process is a real challenge for a NMA that in the short term wishes to reduce costs and time taken to produce series mapping, and in the longer term wants to be able to deliver maps over the internet, providing generalisation on demand. Research in this area, undertaken at the COGIT laboratory has resulted in the1 award of nine PhDs and a further two that are ongoing. This chapter presents various results with a particular focus on two generalisation engines conceived at the COGIT laboratory and based on the Multi-Agent System paradigm. The first one is based on the concept of constraints, ideas of autonomy and levels of details. It models the micro- and meso-generalisation of roads and urban areas. This model has been reused during the Agent project and has been commercialised in the form of "Clarity" -a Laser-Scan product. The other engine is based on interactions between micro-agents and has been optimised for the generalisation of rural areas. This recent development has produced some promising results. Work is ongoing to develop linkages between the two models. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper we present a method to improve and to update the knowledge used for the automation of the generalization of buildings based on agent paradigm. We propose to store 1/ each building decision, 2/ the reason why the decision was taken (the conflicts) 3/ the result of each algorithm (an improvement or not) and 4/ the successful process chain within all trials. At the end, the processes of all buildings are compared in order to identify the weakness (for example the case where a specific algorithm is often used but never succeeds). When a deficiency is identified we introduce new rules and we study the effect of this change on the efficiency of the process. It can be used either to improve existing knowledge or to introduce new rules associate to the use of a new measure or a new algorithm. The first study has been made on building independent generalization to set the learning methodology. We wish now to apply it on more complex cases such as contextual generalization which still needs knowledge improvement.
