[Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (Auteur) We can map zenith wet delays onto precipitable water with a conversion factor, but in order to calculate the exact conversion factor, we must precisely calculate its key variable Tm . Yao et al. (J Geod 86:1125–1135, 2012. doi:10.1007/s00190-012-0568-1) established the first generation of global Tm model (GTm-I) with ground-based radiosonde data, but due to the lack of radiosonde data at sea, the model appears to be abnormal in some areas. Given that sea surface temperature varies less than that on land, and the GPT model and the Bevis Tm – Ts relationship are accurate enough to describe the surface temperature and Tm , this paper capitalizes on the GPT model and the Bevis Tm – Ts relationship to provide simulated Tm at sea, as a compensation for the lack of data. Combined with the Tm from radiosonde data, we recalculated the GTm model coefficients. The results show that this method not only improves the accuracy of the GTm model significantly at sea but also improves that on land, making the GTm model more stable and practically applicable. [Termes IGN] télémétrie laser terrestreRésumé : (Auteur) Monitoring damaged buildings in an area where an earthquake has occurred requires the use of techniques which provide rapid and safe measurements even in emergency conditions. In particular, remote sensing techniques like terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) can satisfy these requirements, since they produce very dense point clouds in little time and also allow an accurate geometric modeling of observed buildings. Nevertheless, strong constraints on TLS data acquisition geometry, such as acquisition distance and incidence angles, typically characterize an area in seismic emergency conditions. In order to correctly interpret the data, it is necessary to estimate errors affecting TLS measurements in these critical conditions. A reliable estimation can be achieved by means of experiments and numerical simulations aimed at quantifying a realistic noise level, with emphasis on reduction of artifacts due to data acquisition, registration and modeling. This paper proposes a data analysis strategy in which TLS-based morphological maps computed as point-to-primitive differences are created. The method can be easily used for accurate surveying in emergency conditions. In order to demonstrate the proposed method in very diverse situations, it was applied to rapidly detect deformation traces in the San Giacomo Roncole Campanile (Modena), the Asinelli tower (Bologna) and the Cantalovo Church (Verona), three buildings damaged by the Mw 5.9 Emilia Romagna 2012 earthquake (Italy). [Termes IGN] matrice creuseRésumé : (Auteur) Hyperspectral unmixing is one of the most important techniques in analyzing hyperspectral images, which decomposes a mixed pixel into a collection of constituent materials weighted by their proportions. Recently, many sparse nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) algorithms have achieved advanced performance for hyperspectral unmixing because they overcome the difficulty of absence of pure pixels and sufficiently utilize the sparse characteristic of the data. However, most existing sparse NMF algorithms for hyperspectral unmixing only consider the Euclidean structure of the hyperspectral data space. In fact, hyperspectral data are more likely to lie on a low-dimensional submanifold embedded in the high-dimensional ambient space. Thus, it is necessary to consider the intrinsic manifold structure for hyperspectral unmixing. In order to exploit the latent manifold structure of the data during the decomposition, manifold regularization is incorporated into sparsity-constrained NMF for unmixing in this paper. Since the additional manifold regularization term can keep the close link between the original image and the material abundance maps, the proposed approach leads to a more desired unmixing performance. The experimental results on synthetic and real hyperspectral data both illustrate the superiority of the proposed method compared with other state-of-the-art approaches. [Termes IGN] prise en compte du contexteRésumé : (Auteur) Anomaly detection (AD) in remotely sensed hyperspectral images has been proven to be valuable in many applications. In this paper, we propose a scheme for detecting global anomalies in which a likelihood ratio test-based decision rule is applied in conjunction with automated data-driven estimation of the background probability density function (PDF). Specifically, the use of both semiparametric (finite mixtures) and nonparametric (Parzen windows) models is investigated for background PDF estimation. Although such approaches are well known in multivariate data analysis, they have been very seldom applied to estimate the hyperspectral image background PDF, mostly due to the difficulty of reliably learning the model parameters without operator intervention. In this paper, semi and nonparametric estimators have been successfully employed to estimate the image background PDF with the aim of detecting global anomalies in a scene benefiting from the application of ad hoc Bayesian learning strategies. Two real hyperspectral images have been used to experimentally evaluate the ability of the proposed AD scheme resulting from the application of different global background PDF models and learning methods. [Termes IGN] seuillage d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we present a hybrid shadow-analysis approach that integrates the model- and property-based methods for detecting collapsed buildings after an earthquake using high-resolution satellite imagery. The framework of the proposed approach has four main steps. (1) The three-dimensional (3D) building model is established according to its footprint and height data stored in a geographical information system. (2) The theoretical shadow area of the building at the time that the post-seismic image was acquired is calculated. And the polygon of the ground shadow area of the building, which is called the theoretical ground shadow polygon, is extracted. (3) The theoretical ground shadow polygon is overlaid with the casting shadow area of the building, which is called the actual shadow area in the post-seismic satellite image, and the mean value of the digital number values of the post-seismic image pixels within the polygon of the theoretical shadow area is calculated. (4) The calculated mean value is compared with predefined thresholds, which are determined by the training pixels collected from the different types of shadows. On this basis, the shadows of totally collapsed, partially collapsed and uncollapsed buildings can be distinguished. A comprehensive experiment for Dujiangyan city, one of the urban areas most severely damaged in the May 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, was conducted, and the experimental results showed the superiority of the proposed approach to the other existing ones.
