[Termes IGN] orthorectificationRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper a novel region-based method is proposed for change detection using space borne panchromatic Cartosat-1 stereo imagery. In the first step, Digital Surface Models (DSMs) from two dates are generated by semi-global matching. The geometric lateral resolution of the DSMs is 5 m x 5 m and the height accuracy is in the range of approximately 3 m (RMSE). In the second step, mean-shift segmentation is applied on the orthorectified images of two dates to obtain initial regions. A region intersection following a merging strategy is proposed to get minimum change regions and multi-level change vectors are extracted for these regions. Finally change detection is achieved by combining these features with weighted change vector analysis. The result evaluations demonstrate that the applied DSM generation method is well suited for Cartosat-1 imagery, and the extracted height values can largely improve the change detection accuracy, moreover it is shown that the proposed change detection method can be used robustly for both forest and industrial areas. [Termes IGN] web mappingRésumé : (Auteur) Within the web a large number of routing applications exist. The majority of these applications are proprietary developments and do not provide the possibility to explore the background/source code and/or the specific algorithms. For most cases, an individual adaptation of these applications is not possible. Furthermore, the most of these applications are based on proprietary geodata. For the purpose of teaching and education – and also to be independent from external providers – a web based routing application based on OpenStreetMap data and Open Source software is of great advantage. This article describes how an individual routing in webmapping applications can be realized using OpenStreetMap data, the pgRouting library and the Open Source database management system PostgreSQL/PostGIS together with different scripting languages. [Termes IGN] UMLRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes a framework for modeling interdependencies between different network systems and building structures. It provides an approach for the integrated analysis of interior building utilities by describing a framework to model and simulate infrastructure interdependencies and their complex behaviors. It is a graph-based spatial model that can support use cases such as providing the location and specifications of interior utilities to a technician who wants to perform a maintenance operation. This location could be needed for maintenance or replacement, or to investigate the result of damage to the building structure on another utility network, or to estimate the effect of different maintenance operations in different locations along utilities service systems. The model accounts for two important aspects: first, the relationship between interior utilities and building elements or spaces and second, the building hierarchy structure to which the utilities network is related. A proper hierarchy of the building is developed which supports the generation of human-oriented descriptions of interior utilities, where a method for partitions of large building element and spaces as well as a method to reference a network element to another building are developed. The connection of the different utilities network systems and buildings are generated using joints, which are based on a containment relation. An example is presented which shows the effectiveness of this approach for supporting maintenance operations, as well as the independences between the maintenance operation location and the other network systems. The paper presents the data model and explains the links with current 3D building model standards. [Termes IGN] modélisation 3D du bâti BIMRésumé : (Auteur) 3D City models have so far neglected utility networks in built environments, both interior and exterior. Many urban applications, e.g. emergency response or maintenance operations, are looking for such an integration of interior and exterior utility. Interior utility is usually created and maintained using Building Information Model (BIM) systems, while exterior utility is stored, managed and analyzed using GIS. Researchers have suggested that the best approach for BIM/GIS integration is harmonized semantics, which allow formal mapping between the BIM and real world GIS. This paper provides preliminary ideas and directions for how to acquire information from BIM/Industry Foundation Class (IFC) and map it to CityGML utility network Application Domain Extension (ADE). The investigation points out that, in most cases, there is a direct one-to-one mapping between IFC schema and UtilityNetworkADE schema, and only in one case there is one-to-many mapping; related to logical connectivity since there is no exact concept to represent the case in UtilityNetworkADE. Many examples are shown of partial IFC files and their possible translation in order to be represented in UtilityNetworkADE classes. [Termes IGN] limite de résolution géométriqueRésumé : (Auteur) In image fusion, the spatial resolution ratio can be defined as the ratio between the spatial resolution of the high-resolution panchromatic image and that of the low-resolution multispectral image. This paper attempts to assess the effects of the spatial resolution ratio of the input images on the quality of the fused image. Experimental results indicate that a spatial resolution ratio of 1 : 10 or higher is desired for optimal multisensor image fusion provided the input panchromatic image is not downsampled to a coarser resolution. Due to the synthetic pixels generated from resampling, the quality of the fused image decreases as the spatial resolution ratio decreases (e.g. from 1 : 10 to 1 : 30). However, even with a spatial resolution ratio as small as 1 : 30, the quality of the fused image is still better than the original multispectral image alone for feature interpretation. In cases where the spatial resolution ratio is too small (e.g. 1 : 30), to obtain better spectral integrity of the fused image, one may downsample the input high-resolution panchromatic image to a slightly lower resolution before fusing it with the multispectral image.
