Particularly, they will find pedagogic descriptions and useful references about climatic models, forest evolutions, dynamics of populations, utilisation of remote sensing for biosphere modeling, knowledge bases and reasoning mechanisms use for environment and ecosystems management, application of artificial intelligence as multi-agents simulations to try to describe ant to validate agents actions' considering parallel artificial worlds, applications of inverse methods (sentinel method) to retrieve pollutant sources. The techniques of scaling and fuzzy sets applications necessary to interpret environment data and some cautions in data manipulations due to possible ambiguities are also presented. The reader would have to realize that in a real interdisciplinary approach of environment which is considered now to be absolutely necessary to be able to respond to environment questions with a maximum of confidence in the different concerned domains, these different types of techniques and models would have to be necessary coupled and to interact in what is said complex systems modelling: these kind of models are the tools to try to represent and to imitate the real world for cognition and to give the probable evolutions of such systems which are the required evolution scenarios.
