[Termes IGN] vitesse de déplacementRésumé : (auteur) A new reanalysis of GNSS data at or near tide gauges worldwide was produced by the university of La Rochelle (ULR) group within the 3rd International GNSS Service (IGS) reprocessing campaign (repro3). The new solution, called ULR-repro3, complies with the IGS standards adopted for repro3, implementing advances in data modelling and corrections since the previous reanalysis campaign, and extending the average record length by about 7 years. The results presented here focus on the main products of interest for sea level science, that is, the station position time series and associated velocities on the vertical component at tide gauges. These products are useful to estimate accurate vertical land motion at the coast and supplement data from satellite altimetry or tide gauges for an improved understanding of sea level changes and their impacts along coastal areas. To provide realistic velocity uncertainty estimates, the noise content in the position time series was investigated considering the impact of non-tidal atmospheric loading. Overall, the ULR-repro3 position time series show reduced white noise and power-law amplitudes and station velocity uncertainties compared to the previous reanalysis. The products are available via SONEL (https://doi.org/10.26166/sonel_ulr7a; Gravelle et al., 2022). [Termes IGN] observatoire astronomiqueRésumé : (auteur) We present the procedure we followed to design an artificial corner reflector (CR) at the Calern site of Côte d’Azur Observatory (France). Although still few in number, such reflectors are an integral part of the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS) infrastructure. They can be used as a stable radar target in SAR images to connect local InSAR deformation maps to the global Terrestrial Reference Frame and for SAR absolute determination. During a test phase, the orientation of the CR was changed in order to be aligned toward all possible orbits of Sentinel-1A/1B satellites. On the different SAR images, the CR exhibits a high backscattering signal, and provides a Signal-to-Clutter Ratio larger than 26 dB. Since December 2018, the CR is specifically oriented toward the relative orbit 88. It is clearly detected as a PS in our InSAR analyses and as expected, the standard deviation of displacement measured on the CR is lower than on surrounding PS. A first local survey was performed to locate precisely this CR with respect to the existing geodetic instruments and annual campaigns have been carried out since then to insure its stability over time. [Termes IGN] niveau de la merRésumé : (auteur) We review the status of current sea-level observing systems with a focus on the coastal zone. Tide gauges are the major source of coastal sea-level observations monitoring most of the world coastlines, although with limited extent in Africa and part of South America. The longest tide gauge records, however, are unevenly distributed and mostly concentrated along the European and North American coasts. Tide gauges measure relative sea level but the monitoring of vertical land motion through high-precision GNSS, despite being essential to disentangle land and ocean contributions in tide gauge records, is only available in a limited number of stations. (25% of tide gauges have a GNSS station at less than 10 km.) Other data sources are new in situ observing systems fostered by recent progress in GNSS data processing (e.g., GPS reflectometry, GNSS-towed platforms) and coastal altimetry currently measuring sea level as close as 5 km from the coastline. Understanding observed coastal sea level also requires information on various contributing processes, and we provide an overview of some other relevant observing systems, including those on (offshore and coastal) wind waves and water density and mass changes. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) Coastal populations are impacted by relative sea level variations, which consist both of absolute sea level variations and of vertical land motions. This paper focuses on the Southwest and Central Pacific region, a recognized vulnerable region to sea level rise and where a large range of vertical land motion dynamics is observed. We analyse vertical displacement rates obtained from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) by different analysis centres. We study the role played by modelled parameters, such as step discontinuities (due to equipment changes, earthquakes, etc.), in the position time-series analysis. We propose a new modelling approach based on a joint inversion of GNSS position time-series from different analysis centres. The final uncertainty on the vertical land motion rates is estimated as a combination of the uncertainty due to the GNSS data processing itself and the uncertainty due to the stability of the reference frame in which the GNSS data are expressed. We find that the dominant trend in the Southwest and Central Pacific is a moderate subsidence, with an average rate of −1.1 mm yr–1, but significant variations are observed, with displacement rates varying from an uplift of 1.6 ± 0.3 mm yr–1 to a subsidence of −5.4 ± 0.3 mm yr–1. Taking into account the geodynamic context, we assess, for each station, the relevance of current estimates of linear vertical displacement rate and uncertainty for forecasting future coastal sea levels. [Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (auteur) Calern's multi-technical geodetic observatory, is a co-location site for the Côte d'Azur Observatory, which host three different spatial geodesy techniques: an SLR/LLR station, a permanent DORIS station (since september 2018), and two permanent GNSS stations. Ponctually, specialists from the "Institut National de l'Information Géographique et Forestière" (IGN, France) measure the local ties between our different instruments. The objective is to determine the global biases that may exist between each of these techniques. However, local movements (deformation of soil) may take place, that's why ponctual local ties measurement are insufficient. The effective alternative we choose has been the deployment of an INSAR corner cube on our multi-technical site in the summer of 2018. Indeed, the European Space Agency (ESA) offering the SAR images of the Sentinel constellation (S-1A and S-1B), this allows us PSInSAR analyzes thus providing a systematic monitoring of the deformation of the soils of our co-location site, with great precision. After having recalled in the introduction the method of local ties measurement made by the colleagues of the IGN, this presentation will be articulated then around the design, the installation of the corner of cube, and the choice of the orbit of satellite.
