[Termes IGN] points homologuesRésumé : (auteur) Historical photographs become widely used in geographical and environmental applications. Their enhancement involves converting them into georeferenced data, such as orthoimages or digital models. However no ground control points are available unlike in current image processing, and many problems such as image noise, landscape modifications, perspective distortion and unknown sensor calibration prevent automatic tie-point retrieval with current orthoimages. That is why photograph georeferencing remains a manual and time-consuming task. A novel method is presented in this paper to register photographs with current topographic database using line feature matching. Indeed, geometrical considerations only let avoid high radiometric difference issues when dealing with current orthoimages. Besides topographic database use lets selecting stable through time features, such as road network and historical buildings. A multi-scale approach allows very coarse georeferencing initialization, which can be set manually by a minimum number of ground control points per image set. At each scale an iterative processing improves the line matching and the registration model estimation at the same time. Finally, building integration makes registration more reliable for off-ground objects. Results are promising as georeferencing is much improved and its estimation converges in all test cases. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) The objective of cartographic generalisation is to simplify geographic data in order to create legible maps when scale decreases. This demonstration presents the implementation of a work in progress, aiming at defining a multi-agent, multi-level solution for generalisation. The demonstration introduces the basics of cartographic generalisation and shows some aspects of the model currently being developed, including parameterisation and detailed execution of some interactions, as well as results. [Termes IGN] système multi-agentsRésumé : (auteur) The objective of cartographic generalisation is to simplify geographic data in order to create legible maps when scale decreases. It often requires to reason at different levels of abstraction (e.g. a building, a city). To automate this process, Multi-Agent approaches have been used for several years. Map objects (e.g. buildings) are modelled as autonomous entities that try to solve constraints through appropriate transformations. Yet, those approaches are not able to deal with all situations that appear between cartographic objects in a map. Indeed, though a map intrinsically involves objects that belong to several description, scale or organisation levels, there is no explicit multi-level representation in agent-based cartographic models. Thus we assume that the use of a multi-level multi-agent model would improve the automated generalisation process. Especially, the PADAWAN model is a multi-agent model offering multi-level capabilities which meet quite well the requirements for the multi-level organisation of cartographic objects. In this paper, we expose how we use this model on the one hand, to reify multi-level relations between cartographic agents, and on the other hand, to represent the constraints and the actions proposed to solve them, as interactions between the agents. [Termes IGN] tomographieRésumé : (auteur) A high resolution geophysical survey was carried out on the Pont De Coq, a medieval stone arch bridge located in Normandy (France) in 2011 and 2012. Two complementary methods are used: Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). They allow to evaluate the structural state of the bridge and to characterize the subsurface around and beneath the bridge. An excellent correlation is obtained between the geophysical methods and the geological data obtained around the bridge. In order to improve the restitution of the geophysical data, an advanced photogrammetric method is performed, providing a high resolution 3D Digital Terrain Model (DTM) of the Pont de Coq. The advanced photogrammetry enhances the presentation of the GPR and ERT data. This approach is an easy-to-use, rapid and cost-effective tool for stakeholders. Finally, it is a promising and original method for improved interpretations of future geophysical surveys.
