[Termes IGN] modèle conceptuel de données spatio-temporellesRésumé : (auteur) A topographic database is a database which represents objects of the landscape, either natural objects (such as rivers, lakes, etc.) or artificial objects (such as roads, buildings, etc.). IGN-F (the French National Geographic Insti-tute) has in charge to produce and maintain up-to-date topographic databases over the french territory. Because of its completeness, a topographic database is thus meant to play the role of a geographic reference for territory planning applications. In order to answer the users' needs (delivery of up-to-date data-bases as well as notification of changes that occurs in the database between two dates), it is necessary to handle lineage data. This article attempts to make a review of main spatio-temporal data models (version, mutation) and to give indications for modelling updates of topographic databases.
