[Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, an approach is introduced that classifies not only single pixels but group of pixels which represent already existing object geometry's in a GIS database. This object structured classification result is then compared with the existing GIS objects and all objects are marked where the result of the classification is not the same as the object class of the object which is stored in the GIS database. The result is not only a change detection but also a classification into the most likely class. [Termes IGN] SahelRésumé : (Auteur) Problem of defintion of the concepts "geoinformation", "earth observation" in the context of development planning, with special reference to a semi arid ecosystem as the zone of Sahel. The regional analysis gives 27 geo-economical entities concerned with 16 thematical development issues. The object of this paper is to give some methodological contribution to build a Regional Planning Information System as follows : (i) giving a comprehensive survey of development objectives in order to identify the specific needed observation and information, (ii) typology and classification of geoinformation for planning documents, (iii) evaluation of the conventional and aerospace sensing outputs and their processing principles and methods into geoinformation, (iv) to render this possible, by examining the problem of information policy, the infrastructural facilities and institutional competencies available. [Termes IGN] photographie aérienneRésumé : (Auteur) Within the article a low-cost system for the provision of georeferenced terrestrial images in urban environments is presented. Based on an image with appro ximate exterior orientation from a low-cost GPS and a digital compass and a 3D CAD model of a visible model, as provided from an 3D virtual city model, the exact location of t he building in the image is detected automatically and used, for a refined orientation of the image. The work presented in this paper is part of a project aiming on the development of a mobile device, which enables access to location based services in a complex urban environment. The intuitive access to object related information is realised by so-called telepointing. For that purposes, a spatial model of the user's environment is mapped to the oriented image in order to allow the access to object related information by pointing to the respective image sections. The image is captured by a camera, which will be integrated to a mobile device. Since the provision of location based services currently is one of the most promising markets for the application of spatial data as they are collected by photogrammetric techniques, these applications will also, be discussed briefly, within the paper.
