In the proposed algorithm, each image band was given a different weight through single-band iterative weighting, improving the correlation between each pair of bands. This method was used to obtain the characteristic difference in the diagrams of the band that contain more variation information. After removing Gaussian noise from each feature-difference graph, the difference graphs of each band were fused into a change-intensity graph using the Euclidean distance formula. Finally, unsupervised fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering was used to perform binary clustering on the fused difference graphs to obtain the change detection results. By comparing the original multivariate alteration detection (MAD) algorithm, the IR-MAD algorithm and the proposed IR-MAD algorithm, which used a mask to eliminate strong changes, the experimental results revealed that the multi-spectral change detection results of the proposed algorithm are closer to the actual value and had higher detection accuracy than the other algorithms. [Termes IGN] test de performanceRésumé : (auteur) Geometric accuracy is an important attribute of cartographic products and UAV photogrammetry has been gaining market in topographic mapping thanks to high spatial and temporal resolution, however, they need proper evaluation following accuracy standards and protocols. Regarding this, this work evaluates products from digital photogrammetry from images acquired with a fixed-wing UAV (18Mpixel camera) in a 300-380m height flight over a Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) in Brazil. A dataset of 23 ground control points assessed with an RTK-GNSS (using natural targets) was validated with its homologous in the Digital Surface Model (DSM) and the orthomosaic, following a workflow in which the appropriate statistics were applied. Following parametric tests like the Students t-test and the Chi-square, we compared the results with the Brazilian Cartographic Standard for digital cartography, achieving minimum scale of 1: 20,000 (RMSE of 1.04 m) for the orthomosaic, and minimum scale of 1: 10,000 (RMSE of 1.31 m) for the elevation in the DSM, although, no special targets were used. As the 3D mapping generated using the photogrammetry still needs a protocol to evaluate the accuracy, this work applied a proposed workflow respecting the quality of the data to meet the requirements of the cartographic standard. [Termes IGN] zone semi-arideRésumé : (auteur) This study aims to (1) determine the seasonalities and spatial and temporal rates of change of MODIS-based daytime and nighttime land surface temperature (LST) for the last 19 years from 2000 to 2018 and (2) investigate whether these rates are induced by natural (represented by elevation) or anthropogenic (represented by population counts) forcing. The study area is Jordan – a typical Middle Eastern semi-arid to arid country. Time-series additive seasonal decomposition and simple linear regression produced the following results. (1) For both daytime and nighttime the highest LST values were observed in June while the lowest LST values were observed in December. (2) No significant linear rates of change of LST were noticed in daytime, while significant linear rates of increase of LST, which varied from 0.041°C/year to 0.119°C/year, were observed in nighttime in about one-third of the area of the country mainly in the western parts. (3) The significant linear rates of increase of nighttime LST increased significantly by 0.005°C/year for every 1,000 m increase in elevation and by 0.003°C/year for every 1,000 people increase in population counts. (4) Both natural and anthropogenic factors affected LST in nighttime; however, anthropogenic factors seemed to be more important than natural factors. [Termes IGN] signature spectraleRésumé : (auteur) Change detection from multi-temporal remote sensing images is an effective way to identify the burned areas after forest fires. However, the complex image scenario and the similar spectral signatures in multispectral bands may lead to many false positive errors, which make it difficult to exact the burned areas accurately. In this paper, a novel-burned area change detection approach is proposed. It is designed based on a new Normalized Burn Ratio-SWIR (NBRSWIR) index and an automatic thresholding algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated on three Landsat-8 data sets presenting various fire disaster events worldwide. Compared to eight index-based detection methods that developed in the literature, the proposed approach has the best performance in terms of class separability (2.49, 1.74 and 2.06) and accuracy (98.93%, 98.57% and 99.51%) in detecting the burned areas. Simultaneously, it can also better suppress the complex irrelevant changes in the background.
