Given the complexity of the urban scenes, urban remote sensing observation requires data with a high temporal resolution, high spatial resolution, and high spectral resolution. To the best of our knowledge, however, no satellite owns all the above characteristics. Thus, it is necessary to coordinate data from existing remote sensing satellites to meet the needs of urban observation. In this study, we abstracted the urban remote sensing observation process and proposed an urban spatio-temporal-spectral observation model, filling the gap of no existing urban remote sensing framework. In this study, we present four applications to elaborate on the specific applications of the proposed model: 1) a spatio-temporal fusion model for synthesizing ideal data, 2) a spatio-spectral observation model for urban vegetation biomass estimation, 3) a temporal-spectral observation model for urban flood mapping, and 4) a spatio-temporal-spectral model for impervious surface extraction. We believe that the proposed model, although in a conceptual stage, can largely benefit urban observation by providing a new data fusion paradigm. [Termes IGN] prototypeRésumé : (auteur) Cadastral surveying plays an important role in defining legal boundaries of land and property. The current practice for recording cadastral survey data mainly relies on 2D digital or analog documents. This practice is efficient for simple land parcels but can be challenged in complex building developments. To address the issues stemmed from 2D methods of representing cadastral survey data, 3D spatial information models can be considered as a viable solution for managing cadastral survey data. Building Information Modeling (BIM) enables colsslaborative 3D management of the design, construction, and operation of buildings. There have been extensive studies conducted to investigate the connectivity between BIM and 3D cadaster. Most of these studies focus on managing legal information, such as ownership boundaries and attributes, in BIM-based environments. However, there is limited investigation on how surveying measurements can be mapped into BIM. In this study, the proposed method for integrating the cadastral survey data into the BIM environment includes identifying cadastral survey requirements, using BIM entities relevant to cadastral survey data, enrichment of a BIM prototype, and evaluation of the prototype. The major contribution of this study is to demonstrate the storage of cadastral survey data such as survey marks and traverse lines in the BIM environment. Therefore, this research contributes to the further enrichment of BIM with incorporating data elements related to cadastral surveying practices. It is confirmed that current BIM-based tools provide restricted capabilities for explicit management and visualization of cadastral survey data. This limitation can be addressed in the future enhancements of BIM in terms of supporting important elements for cadastral survey data. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) Building façades can feature different patterns depending on the architectural style, functionality, and size of the buildings; therefore, reconstructing these façades can be complicated. In particular, when semantic façades are reconstructed from point cloud data, uneven point density and noise make it difficult to accurately determine the façade structure. When investigating façade layouts, Gestalt principles can be applied to cluster visually similar floors and façade elements, allowing for a more intuitive interpretation of façade structures. We propose a novel model for describing façade structures, namely the layout graph model, which involves a compound graph with two structure levels. In the proposed model, similar façade elements such as windows are first grouped into clusters. A down-layout graph is then formed using this cluster as a node and by combining intra- and inter-cluster spacings as the edges. Second, a top-layout graph is formed by clustering similar floors. By extracting relevant parameters from this model, we transform semantic façade reconstruction to an optimization strategy using simulated annealing coupled with Gibbs sampling. Multiple façade point cloud data with different features were selected from three datasets to verify the effectiveness of this method. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an average accuracy of 86.35%. Owing to its flexibility, the proposed layout graph model can deal with different types of façades and qualities of point cloud data, enabling a more robust and accurate reconstruction of façade models.
