[Termes IGN] transformation rapide de FourierRésumé : (auteur) A high-resolution gravimetric geoid model for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia area was determined. A data set of 459,848 land gravity, 80,632 shipborne marine gravity data, DTU17 altimetry gravity model, and XGM2019e global geopotential model. The computation strategy followed for modelling of the gravimetric geoid is based on the Remove-Compute-Restore with Residual Terrain Model reduction and the 1D- Fast Fourier Transform approach technique. The geoid heights have been determined by using the Stokes integral with Wong–Gore modification. The accuracy of the resulting geoid models was evaluated by comparing them with 5385 GPS/levelling points. The geoid accuracy over all the kingdom is better than 11 cm in STD sense and the comparison in sub-areas obtained accuracy range from 2.8 to 11.9 cm according to the density of gravity observations. [Termes IGN] variation saisonnièreRésumé : (auteur) The Himalayan terrain is an epitome of ongoing convergence and geodetic deformation where both tectonic and non-tectonic forces prevail. In this study, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and Global Positioning System (GPS) datasets are used to assess the impact of seasonal loading on deformation with seismicity in Nepal. The recorded GPS data from 21 Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations during 2017–2020 are processed with respect to ITRF14 and the Indian reference frame, and the Center for Space Research (CSR) mascon RL06 during 2002–2020 is adopted to estimate the terrestrial water storage (TWS) change over the Ganga-Brahmaputra River basin. The results indicate that the hydrological loading effect or TWS change shows high negative, high positive, and moderately positive values in pre-monsoon, co-monsoon, and post-monsoon months, respectively. The detrended GPS data of both horizontal and vertical components correlate with the seasonal TWS change using the Pearson correlation coefficient at each GNSS site. In addition, the correlation coefficient has been interpolated using inverse distance weighting to investigate the regional TWS influence on geodetic displacement. In the north component, the correlation coefficient ranges from −0.6 to 0.6. At the same time, the TWS is positively correlated with geodetic displacement (0.82) in the east component, and the correlation coefficient is negative (−0.69) in the vertical component. The negative correlation signifies an inverse relationship between seasonal TWS variation and geodetic displacements. The strain rate is estimated, which shows higher negative values in pre-monsoon than in post-monsoon. Similarly, the effect of seismicity is 47.90% for pre-monsoon, 15.97% for co-monsoon, and 17.56% for post-monsoon. Thus we can infer that the seismicity decreases with the increase of seasonal hydrological loading. Furthermore, the effect of strain is much higher in pre-monsoon than in post-monsoon since the impact of co-monsoon continues to persist on a small scale in the post-monsoon season. [Termes IGN] principe d'équivalenceRésumé : (auteur) The MICROSCOPE mission was designed to test the weak equivalence principle (WEP), stating the equality between the inertial and the gravitational masses, with a precision of 10−15 in terms of the Eötvös ratio η. Its experimental test consisted of comparing the accelerations undergone by two collocated test masses of different compositions as they orbited the Earth, by measuring the electrostatic forces required to keep them in equilibrium. This was done with ultrasensitive differential electrostatic accelerometers onboard a drag-free satellite. The mission lasted two and a half years, cumulating five months worth of science free-fall data, two-thirds with a pair of test masses of different compositions—titanium and platinum alloys—and the last third with a reference pair of test masses of the same composition—platinum. We summarize the data analysis, with an emphasis on the characterization of the systematic uncertainties due to thermal instabilities and on the correction of short-lived events which could mimic a WEP violation signal. We found no violation of the WEP, with the Eötvös parameter of the titanium and platinum pair constrained to η(Ti,Pt)=[−1.5±2.3(stat)±1.5(syst)]×10−15 at 1σ in statistical errors. [Termes IGN] surface de référenceRésumé : (auteur) This study aims to analyze the quality of several local reference quasigeoid surfaces obtained from several Global Geopotential Models (GGM) relative to the official quasigeoid solution of Serbia (SQM2011) and GNSS/dh observations for the territory of Serbia. Therefore, validation and comparison of the derived surfaces from the three GGM’s were made based on comparisons of height anomaly derived from GGM’s, SQM2011, and the GNSS/dh observations at the points of the high-precision leveling network. The selected publicly available GGM’s in this study are GOCO05c, SGG- UGM-2, and XGM2019e. Primarily, at 1001 points of the high-precision leveling network, the differences between GGM and GNSS/dh height anomaly were calculated. The final translation parameters were calculated in the iteration procedure, which was then used to calculate the final values of the estimated height anomaly for all GGM’s at 143207 points of the regular grid of spatial resolution 0.5' × 0.5' on the entire territory of Serbia. From the estimated height anomaly, three GGM-derived surfaces were modeled relative to the SQM2011. According to the results of the calculations, SGG-UGM-2 provides the best approximation of the quasi- geoid SQM2011, where the remaining differences have a mean value of 0.01 m, a standard deviation of 0.06 m, and a span of 0.67 m. [Termes IGN] niveau de la merRésumé : (auteur) We assess the consistency of sea-level variability derived from tide-gauge (TG) and satellite radar altimeter (ALT) data acquired along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea. For a coherent comparison between these techniques, we use GNSS observations to characterize the local vertical land movement embedded in TG records, but not affecting ALT data. We first investigate the performance of CMEMS, a gridded altimeter product covering the period 1993–2019. TG and GNSS series are not required to cover the whole altimeter period. The inter-technique comparison reveals good agreement at annual and semi-annual scales, but also the occasional occurrence of nonlinear discrepancies impacting trend estimation. Large-scale patterns of variability are observed in the Ionian region and along the continental shores from the Alboran to the Adriatic Sea. The estimates of linear trends based on TG + GNSS or CMEMS observations are found consistent within 1σ at 27/45 sites, with the best agreement in the Western Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas. We also consider the X-TRACK/ALES altimeter dataset, provided along the tracks of the Jason missions (2002–2018) and optimized for coastal applications. In this case, we identify only 12 sites suitable for the comparison. The results show that inter-technique consistency is impacted by the length of the series used in the comparison. Optimum agreement between X-TRACK/ALES and TG + GNSS trends is reached at the two sites closer to a satellite track. However, we find sites where X-TRACK/ALES-derived sea-level trends present suspicious along-track variations at Numéro de notice : A2022-452 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article DOI : 10.1007/s00190-022-01626-9 En ligne : http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s00190-022-01626-9 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=100976
