[Termes IGN] recherche d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Geography Mark-up Language (GML) is the geographic information coding specification based on the Extensible Markup Language (XML) technology, which was developed by the Open GIS Consortium (OGC). GML expresses spatial and non-spatial attributes of geographic objects. Retrievals for traditional XML and geographic information have some limitations with respect to GML data, such as mismatching of the retrieval model, a single search form, and low retrieval quality. Based on analysis of the attributes, spatial relations, and structural features of GML data, this paper takes GML data elements as retrieval units and summarizes the GML retrieval mode. Then, the GML retrieval mode is constructed and formalized. On this basis, the GML Geographic Information Retrieval (GML_GIR) model is presented. The method implements the construction of a comprehensive index and the relative ordering of retrieval results by means of Lucene, an open-source full-text retrieval framework, and its components. For different features of GML data, corresponding relevance calculations are proposed. This study designs several different retrieval forms for GML data and simplifies the process of user information acquisitions. It provides reference methods for exploring geographical information retrieval based on semi-structured data represented by GML. Experimental results showed the efficiency and accuracy of the retrieval method. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) A ‘fit-for-purpose’ approach is developed, tested and presented for cadastral surveys through increased owners’ participation using new technology and m-government services. Three case studies are reported, for urban, suburban and rural areas, with a combined use of two mobile applications: a commercial software package (ESRI’s Collector for ArcGIS) and an opensource self-developed application named BoundGeometry. The parameters of time, quality and accuracy are assessed and the identified difficulties are classified. It is concluded that the method is applicable both in developed and developing countries, and each time adjustable to the available infrastructure. [Termes IGN] qualité des donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) Geocrowdsourcing is a significant new focus area in mapping for people with disabilities. It utilizes public data contributions that are difficult to capture with traditional mapping workflows. Along with the benefits of geocrowdsourcing are critical drawbacks, including reliability and accuracy. A geocrowdsourcing testbed has been designed to explore the dynamics of geocrowdsourcing and quality assessment and produce temporally relevant navigation obstacle data. These reports are then used for route planning, obstacle avoidance, and spatial awareness. Recently, the geocrowdsourcing testbed has been modified to focus on the contribution of images and short descriptions, rather than the more lengthy previous reporting process. The quality assessment workflow of the geocrowdsourcing testbed is contrasted with a modified quality assessment workflow, implemented in the simpler and quicker image-based reporting paradigm. General quality assessment of data position and temporal characteristics is still possible, while general data attributes and detail are now supplied by a moderator from the contributed image. The derivation of obstacle location from multiple intersected image direction vectors does not produce reliable results, but an approach using buffered convex hulls works dependably. This simpler, quicker geocrowdsourcing workflow produces geocrowdsourced obstacle data and quality assessment estimates for location, time, and attribute accuracy. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (Auteur) In recent years, pluvial floods caused by extreme rainfall events have occurred frequently. Especially in urban areas, they lead to serious damages and endanger the citizens’ safety. Therefore, real-time information about such events is desirable. With the increasing popularity of social media platforms, such as Twitter or Instagram, information provided by voluntary users becomes a valuable source for emergency response. Many applications have been built for disaster detection and flood mapping using crowdsourcing. Most of the applications so far have merely used keyword filtering or classical language processing methods to identify disaster relevant documents based on user generated texts. As the reliability of social media information is often under criticism, the precision of information retrieval plays a significant role for further analyses. Thus, in this paper, high quality eyewitnesses of rainfall and flooding events are retrieved from social media by applying deep learning approaches on user generated texts and photos. Subsequently, events are detected through spatiotemporal clustering and visualized together with these high quality eyewitnesses in a web map application. Analyses and case studies are conducted during flooding events in Paris, London and Berlin.
