[Termes IGN] webGLRésumé : (auteur) Nowadays we see a lot of Rich Internet Applications (RIA), but real interactive 3D applications have just started years ago, and it is only in 2011 that a GPU library was integrated directly in the major internet browsers. This opened a new way of creating 3D applications on the web and a new public, as much more users can access them without complicated plugin installations and this is just what 3D web mapping was waiting for.
We present our street view application allowing to move through cities from a pedestrian point of view and interact with it in order to create and update precise urban maps enabling accessibility diagnostics, services and applications around mobility. We cared about precision in the data acquisition (images and laser) in order to be able to make accurate 3D measurements for professional usages. The user can show large laser clouds in his web-browser, access information on any points, draw 3D bounding boxes and export selections to databases. He can also make measurements from images, integrate collada models, display OpenData layers, etc. Finally we use projective texture mapping in real time to texture any mesh with our images.Numéro de notice : C2012-012 Affiliation des auteurs : MATIS (1993-2011) Thématique : GEOMATIQUE/IMAGERIE/INFORMATIQUE Nature : Communication nature-HAL : ComAvecCL&ActesPubliésIntl DOI : 10.1145/2424321.2424422 Date de publication en ligne : 06/11/2012 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1145/2424321.2424422 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=93484 WebGIS performance tests / H. [Termes IGN] WebSIGRésumé : (Auteur) A webGIS is usually constructed as a multi-tiers architecture basically consisting for the client side, the server side and the database component. From the client side, users send queries or requests to the server via (wireless) internet. Next the server communicates with database, where the requested information is compiled by the database server. Finally, the result is sent to the client. With the rapid growth of WebGIS application in 2010, the authors tested the performance of two models: centralized and distributed. [Termes IGN] SIG 3DRésumé : (Auteur) Having specialised in 3D GIS, Jantien Stoter has already taken her next leap and is now studying the concept of 5D GIS. Meanwhile, she realises that there are still some gaps to bridge between technical sciences and practice. A highly technical person herself, she shares her views on which directions geoinformation professionals should be looking in to keep the field alive. She recently finished the first phase of a pilot on a 3D standard for The Netherlands' spatial data infrastructure involving nearly 70 stakeholders. The second phase is currently examining how to put the results of the first phase into practice. GIM International met up with her to learn more. Grâce à leur ergonomie particulièrement ludique, les sites développés par la petite entreprise ont su séduire le grand public. Mais cette approche permet également de créer des applications à destination des professionnels.
