[Termes IGN] système de numérisation mobileRésumé : (auteur) The study aims to find a low-cost alternate technology to get imagery, using mobile platform, and produce digital orthophoto for corridor mapping, with a higher degree of accuracy and which can reduce the lag time of acquisition of data. The present study uses digital single-lens reflex cameras, mounted on a mobile vehicle, and acquisition of data in the video format rather than still photographs, as traditionally used in mobile mapping systems. The videos are used to create a set of images and orthophotos. A widespread ground control points were recorded in the study area, using the global navigation satellite system receiver, which measured the control points in real-time kinematic mode. Generation of digital orthophoto has been completed using the captured mobile imagery and ground control point. Furthermore, procurement of satellite imagery and aerial triangulation using ground control points have been done. While comparing the planimetric accuracy of orthophoto against satellite imagery using the ground control points, the achieved root mean square error value of produced orthophoto is 0.171 m in X axis and 0.205 m in Y axis. However, for Cartosat -1 satellite imagery, the RMSE value for X is 1.22 m and for Y is 1.98 m. This research proposes the alternate low-cost mobile mapping method to capture the imagery for orthophoto production. The cost of orthophoto production from mobile image was found 77% cheaper than the orthophoto cost from fresh/latest satellite imagery procurement, while the overall production was 70% cost-effective than the orthophoto maps made from archived imagery. [Termes IGN] zone homogèneRésumé : (auteur) The Chang'e-5 mission of China is planned to be launched in 2019 to the landing area near Mons Rümker located in Oceanus Procellarum. Aiming to generate a high-resolution and high-quality digital orthophoto map (DOM) of the planned landing area for supporting the mission and various scientific analyses, this study developed a systematic and effective method for large-area seamless DOM production. The mapping results of the Chang'e-5 landing area using over 700 Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) Narrow Angle Camera (NAC) images are presented. The resultant seamless DOM has a resolution of 1.5 m, covers a large area of 20° in longitude and 4° in latitude, and is tied to SLDEM2015. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the geometric inconsistencies among the LROC NAC images to the subpixel level and the positional errors with respect to the reference digital elevation model to about one grid cell size. [Termes IGN] pondérationRésumé : (Auteur) The implementation and evaluation of a weighted A∗ algorithm for orthoimage mosaic with UAV (Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle) imagery is proposed. The initial seam-line network is firstly generated by standard Voronoi Diagram algorithm; an edge diagram is generated based on DSM (Digital Surface Model) data; the vertices (conjunction nodes of seam-lines) of the initial network are relocated if they are on high objects (buildings, trees and other artificial structures); and the initial seam-lines are refined using the weighted A∗ algorithm based on the edge diagram and the relocated vertices. Our method was tested with three real UAV datasets. Two quantitative terms are introduced to evaluate the results of the proposed method. Preliminary results show that the method is suitable for regular and irregular aligned UAV images for most terrain types (flat or mountainous areas), and is better than the state-of-the-art method in both quality and efficiency based on the test datasets. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (Auteur) Optimal seamline detection is a key step when composing digital orthophotomaps (DOM) of extensive areas from overlapping ortho‐images. To avoid seamlines passing through buildings when mosaicking, seamline detection between adjacent ortho‐images is casted as a graph‐cut problem. To avoid buildings, colour differences and gradient magnitude derived from the ortho‐images, together with approximate object heights derived from a digital surface model (DSM), are combined for constructing the cost term of the graph. To efficiently obtain an approximate height value for each DOM unit, an expanded normalised DSM is proposed. Furthermore, the designed cost term for final composite ortho‐image merging is weighted to prioritise pixels closest to the nadir point. Experiments with strips of aerial images show that the proposed method obtains seamless mosaicking of ortho‐images without manual work.
