[Termes IGN] photogrammétrie numériqueIndex. décimale : 33.30 Photogrammétrie numérique Résumé : (Auteur) One of the main advantages digital photogrammetry offers consists in the automatic determination of the position of conjugate points in different images. This task is referred to as digital image matching. Various approaches exist for its solution. Least squares image matching has found the most attention within the photogrammetric community due to the high accuracy, which can be attained. In this thesis, a new global method is described, realized, and evaluated. Image matching is performed in object space. Thus, during the matching process the object surface is inherently determined as well. In the framework of a nonlinear least squares adjustment geometrical and radiometrical parameters describing the surface (e.g. the heights of a digital terrain model and brightness values for each point on the surface) and parameters for the exterior orientation of the images are simultaneously estimated from the image intensity values. The described approach is essentially an extension of analytical photogrammetry. Therefore, all methods used in this field, e.g. bundle adjustment with self calibration or processing of line imagery, can be integrated into the new method. Also, point determination can be formulated as a special case, since in digital photogrammetry points can be considered as "small" surface patches. Moreover, the brightness values of the object surface represent an orthophoto of the terrain. By exploring the reflectance properties of the surface, a direct connection is established with computer vision. In the practical part of the thesis, the convergence characteristics of the approach are investigated using simulated imagery with realistic image intensity distribution. The pull in range amounts to a few pixels only. However, it is considerably extended by means of image pyramids. Moreover, the speed of convergence is increased in this way. Also, it could be shown, that regions with poor texture are stabilized in this approach. An investigation with real imagery from industrial photogrammetry is presented next. A part of a wing is reconstructed from car body images. The reliability of the results is considerably increased using more than two images. The main importance of this thesis lies in the integration of digital image matching, point determination, object surface reconstruction, and orthoprojection within one model of digital photogrammetry only. The achieved results demonstrate the principle applicability of the approach.
