[Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) We consider the detection of changes in the mean of a set of time series. The breakpoints are allowed to be series specific, and the series are assumed to be correlated. The correlation between the series is supposed to be constant along time but is allowed to take an arbitrary form. We show that such a dependence structure can be encoded in a factor model. Thanks to this representation, the inference of the breakpoints can be achieved via dynamic programming, which remains one the most efficient algorithms. We propose a model selection procedure to determine both the number of breakpoints and the number of factors. This proposed method is implemented in the FASeg R package, which is available on the CRAN. We demonstrate the performances of our procedure through simulation experiments and present an application to geodesic data. It has the capability to adjust, filter, and predict unknown quantities that affect many geodetic applications. Hence, this study aims to enhance the predictability property of LSC through applying soft computing techniques in the stage of describing the covariance function. Soft computing techniques include the support vector machine (SVM), least-squares-support vector machine (LS-SVM), and artificial neural network (ANN). A real geodetic case study is used to predict a national geoid from the EGM2008 global geoid model in Egypt. A comparison study between parametric and soft computing techniques was performed to assess the LSC predictability accuracy. We found that the predictability accuracy increased when using soft computing techniques in the range of 10.2 %–27.7 % and 8.2 %–29.8 % based on the mean square error and the mean error terms, respectively, compared with the parametric models. The LS-SVM achieved the highest accuracy among the soft computing techniques. In addition, we found that the integration between the LS-SVM with LSC exhibits an accuracy of 20 % and 25 % higher than using LS-SVM independently as a predicting tool, based on the mean square error and mean error terms, respectively. Consequently, the LS-SVM integrated with LSC is recommended for enhanced predictability in geodetic applications. [Termes IGN] programmation linéaireRésumé : (Editeur) This book offers a comprehensive and readable introduction to modern business and data analytics. It is based on the use of Excel, a tool that virtually all students and professionals have access to. The explanations are focused on understanding the techniques and their proper application, and are supplemented by a wealth of in-chapter and end-of-chapter exercises. In addition to the general statistical methods, the book also includes Monte Carlo simulation and optimization. The second edition has been thoroughly revised: new topics, exercises and examples have been added, and the readability has been further improved. The book is primarily intended for students in business, economics and government, as well as professionals, who need a more rigorous introduction to business and data analytics – yet also need to learn the topic quickly and without overly academic explanations.
Note de contenu : 1.
