[Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (Auteur) The transformations between ITRFXX (international Terrestrial reference Frame) established for local and regional geodetic networks and ED50 (European Datum 1950) are routinely implemented in practice via several transformation models. in some specific cases, these models, which are widely used in practice, may be insufficient to solve the transformation problem, and thus this causes a significant loss of accuracy for the transformed points coordinates. in this study, firstly the polynomial transformations with general equations (GP) and complex numbers (CNP) were examined as alternative to well-known transformation models for modelling the distortions. in addition, transformation models based on radial basis functions (RBFs), a modern method for estimating multivariable functions, have been examined. The transformation problem has been addressed in two numerical case studies, with real data located in different regions of Turkey. [Termes IGN] surcharge atmosphériqueRésumé : (Auteur) Higher-order ionospheric (HOI) delays are one of the principal technique-specific error sources in precise global positioning system analysis and have been proposed to become a standard part of precise GPS data processing. In this research, we apply HOI delay corrections to the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China’s (CMONOC) data processing (from January 2000 to December 2013) and furnish quantitative results for the effects of HOI on CMONOC coordinate time series. The results for both a regional reference frame and global reference frame are analyzed and compared to clarify the HOI effects on the CMONOC network. We find that HOI corrections can effectively reduce the semi-annual signals in the northern and vertical components. For sites with lower semi-annual amplitudes, the average decrease in magnitude can reach 30 and 10 % for the northern and vertical components, respectively. The noise amplitudes with HOI corrections and those without HOI corrections are not significantly different. Generally, the HOI effects on CMONOC networks in a global reference frame are less obvious than the results in the regional reference frame, probably because the HOI-induced errors are smaller in comparison to the higher noise levels seen when using a global reference frame. Furthermore, we investigate the combined contributions of environmental loading and HOI effects on the CMONOC stations. The largest loading effects on the vertical displacement are found in the mid- to high-latitude areas. The weighted root mean square differences between the corrected and original weekly GPS height time series of the loading model indicate that the mass loading adequately reduced the scatter on the CMONOC height time series, whereas the results in the global reference frame showed better agreements between the GPS coordinate time series and the environmental loading. When combining the effects of environmental loading and HOI corrections, the results with the HOI corrections reduced the scatter on the observed GPS height coordinates better than the height when estimated without HOI corrections, and the combined solutions in the regional reference frame indicate more preferred improvements. Therefore, regional reference frames are recommended to investigate the HOI effects on regional networks. [Termes IGN] système de coordonnéesRésumé : (Auteur) The direct geodesic problem on an oblate spheroid is described as an initial value problem and is solved numerically using both geodetic and Cartesian coordinates. The geodesic equations are formulated by means of the theory of differential geometry. The initial value problem under consideration is reduced to a system of first-order ordinary differential equations, which is solved using a numerical method. The solution provides the coordinates and the azimuths at any point along the geodesic. The Clairaut constant is not used for the solution but it is computed, allowing to check the precision of the method. An extensive data set of geodesics is used, in order to evaluate the performance of the method in each coordinate system. The results for the direct geodesic problem are validated by comparison to Karney’s method. We conclude that a complete, stable, precise, accurate and fast solution of the problem in Cartesian coordinates is accomplished. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (Auteur) Precise transformation between the celestial reference frames (CRF) and terrestrial reference frames (TRF) is needed for many purposes in Earth and space sciences. According to the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS) recommendations, the accuracy of positions and stability of reference frames should reach 1 mm and 0.1 mm year−1, and thus, the Earth Orientation Parameters (EOP) should be estimated with similar accuracy. Different realizations of TRFs, based on the combination of solutions from four different space geodetic techniques, and CRFs, based on a single technique only (VLBI, Very Long Baseline Interferometry), might cause a slow degradation of the consistency among EOP, CRFs, and TRFs (e.g., because of differences in geometry, orientation and scale) and a misalignment of the current conventional EOP series, IERS 08 C04. We empirically assess the consistency among the conventional reference frames and EOP by analyzing the record of VLBI sessions since 1990 with varied settings to reflect the impact of changing frames or other processing strategies on the EOP estimates. Our tests show that the EOP estimates are insensitive to CRF changes, but sensitive to TRF variations and unmodeled geophysical signals at the GGOS level. The differences between the conventional IERS 08 C04 and other EOP series computed with distinct TRF settings exhibit biases and even non-negligible trends in the cases where no differential rotations should appear, e.g., a drift of about 20 μas year−1in ypol when the VLBI-only frame VTRF2008 is used. Likewise, different strategies on station position modeling originate scatters larger than 150 μas in the terrestrial pole coordinates. [Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (Auteur) The ITRF2014 is an improved realization of the International Terrestrial Reference System (ITRS) and is demonstrated to be of higher quality than the past ITRF versions. It involves two main innovations dealing with the modeling of station non-linear motions, namely seasonal (annual and semi-annual) signals present in the time series of station positions and post-seismic deformations for 124 sites that were subject to major earthquakes. It is achieved through a two-step procedure: (1) stacking the time series of station positions and Earth Orientation Parameters (EOPs) provided by the four IERS Technique Centers (TC); (2) combining the long-term solutions as obtained in step 1, together with local ties in co-location sites. The two-step procedure makes use of full variance-covariance information provided in SINEX format. The TC solutions incorporated in the ITRF2014 combination are free from any external constraints, thus preserving the actual space geodesy estimates of station positions and EOPs. The ITRF2014 origin is defined in such a way that it has zero translations and translation rates with respect to the mean Earth center of mass, as defined by the SLR station positions time series. Its scale is defined by zero scale factor and zero scale rate with respect to the mean of VLBI and SLR long-term solutions as obtained by stacking their respective time series. The ITRF2014 orientation (at epoch 2010.0) and its rate are aligned to the ITRF2008 using 127 stations of high geodetic quality. The ITRF2014 includes the positions and velocities of 1499 stations located at 975 sites. Figure 1 shows the coverage of these sites, underlying the co-located space geodesy techniques. This technical note describes the main ITRF2014 products: station positions and velocities, the post fit residuals of the least squares adjustment as well as the transformation parameters between ITRF2014 and ITRF2008. The main technical procedure used to generate the ITRF2014, a thorough discussion of its quality as well as most important geodetic and geophysical results were published in Altamimi et al. [2016], appended to this Technical Note. Note de contenu : 1 Summary
