[Termes IGN] polarimétrie radarRésumé : (Auteur) Estimation of vegetation covered soil moisture with satellite images is still a challenging task. Several models are available for soil moisture retrieval in which water cloud model (WCM) is most common. But, it requires an estimation of accurate vegetation parameterization. Thus, there is a need to develop such an approach for soil moisture retrieval which minimize these limitations. Therefore, this paper deals with the soil moisture retrieval using fully polarimetric SAR data by fusing the information from different bands. Various polarimetric indices and observables were critically analysed, and found that the index; SPAN (total scattered power) gives better information of vegetation cover as compared to other indices/observables. Based on this, WCM model has been modified using SPAN as parameter and soil moisture content were retrieved. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (Auteur) This paper critically analyzes several incoherent model-based decomposition methods for assessing the effect of deorientation in characterization of various land covers. It has been found that even after performing decomposition, ambiguity still occurs in scattering response from various land covers, such as urban and vegetation. Researchers introduced the concept of deorientation to remove this ambiguity. Therefore, in this paper, a critical analysis has been carried out using seven different three- and four-component decomposition methods with and without deorientation and two Eigen decomposition-based methods to investigate the scattering response on various land covers, such as urban, vegetation, bare soil, and water. The comprehensive evaluation of decomposition and deorientation effect has been performed by both visual and quantitative analyses. Two types of quantitative analysis have been performed; first, by observing percentage of scattering power and second, by analyzing the variation in the number of pixels in different land covers for each scattering contribution. The analysis shows that deorientation increases not only the power but also the number of pixels for surface and double bounce scattering. The number of pixels representing volume scattering remain almost the same for all the methods with or without deorientation, whereas volume scattering power reduces after deorientation. Eigen decomposition-based methods are observed to solve the problem of overestimation of volume scattering power. [Termes IGN] tectoniqueRésumé : (Auteur) The Cerro Prieto geothermal field (CPGF) lies at the step-over between the imperial and the Cerro Prieto faults in northern Baja California, Mexico. While tectonically this is the most active section of the southern San Andreas Fault system, the spatial and temporal deformation in the area is poorly resolved by the sparse global positioning system (GPS) network coverage. Moreover, interferograms from satellite observations spanning more than a few months are decorrelated due to the extensive agricultural activity in this region. Here we investigate the use of frequent, short temporal baseline interferograms offered by the new Sentinel-1A satellite to recover two components of deformation time series across these faults. Following previous studies, we developed a purely geometric approach for image alignment that achieves better than 1/200 pixel alignment needed for accurate phase recovery. We construct interferometric synthetic aperture radar time series using a coherence-based small baseline subset method with atmospheric corrections by means of common-point stacking. We did not apply enhanced spectral diversity because the burst discontinuities are generally small ( Numéro de notice : A2017-662 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1109/TGRS.2017.2704593 En ligne : http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/TGRS.2017.2704593 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=87104

[Termes IGN] tenseurRésumé : (Auteur) Deformation monitoring by multipass synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) is, so far, the only imaging-based method to assess millimeter-level deformation over large areas from space. Past research mostly focused on the optimal retrieval of deformation parameters on the basis of a single pixel or a pixel cluster. Only until recently, the first demonstration of object-based urban infrastructure monitoring by fusing InSAR and the semantic classification labels derived from optical images was presented by Wang et al. Given such classification labels in the SAR image, we propose a general framework for object-based InSAR parameter retrieval, where the parameters of the whole object are jointly estimated by the inversion of a regularized tensor model instead of pixelwise. Our approach does not assume the stationarity of each sample in the object, which is usually assumed in other pixel cluster-based methods, such as SqueeSAR. In addition, to handle outliers in real data, a robust phase recovery step prior to parameter retrieval is also introduced. In typical settings, the proposed method outperforms the current pixelwise estimators, e.g., periodogram, by a factor of several tens in the accuracy of the linear deformation estimates. Last but not least, for a practical demonstration on bridge monitoring, we present a full workflow of long-term bridge monitoring using the proposed approach. [Termes IGN] température de l'airRésumé : (Auteur) Bridge displacement monitoring is one of the key components of bridge structural health monitoring. Traditional methods, usually based on limited sets of sensors mounted on a given bridge, collect point-like deformation information and have the disadvantage of providing incomplete displacement information. In this paper, a Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) approach is used to monitor the displacements of the Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River high-speed railway bridge. Twenty-nine (29) European Space Agency Sentinel-1A images, acquired from April 25, 2015 to August 5, 2016, were used in the PSI analysis. A total of 1828 measurement points were selected on the bridge. The results show a maximum longitudinal displacement of about 150 mm on each side of the bridge. The measured displacements showed a strong correlation with the environmental temperature at the time the images used were acquired, indicating that they were due to thermal expansion of the bridge. At each pier, a regression model based on the PSI-measured displacements was compared with a model based on in-situ measurements. The good agreement of these models demonstrates the capability of the PSI technique to monitor long-span railway bridge displacements. By comparing the modelled displacements and dozens of PSI measurements, we show how the performance of movable bearings can be evaluated. The high density of the PSI measurement points is advantageous for the health monitoring of the entire bridge Numéro de notice : A2017-335 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2017.03.016 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2017.03.016 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=85492
