[Termes IGN] restauration d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) The grey value g (x, y) of pixel on radiometric spectrum is regarded as a function of the geometric coordinates (x, y). Hence, there is a unity of opposite relationships between the geometric and radiometric information, such that, these two types of information cannot be separated. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel geometric and radiometric simultaneous correction model (GRSCM) framework inspired and developed from least squares matching (LSM). Based on the Gauss-Markov model, geometric and radiometric correction coefficients are integrated and solved by an iterative method with variable weights in the proposed model. Moreover, many state-of-theart models and methods can be integrated into the proposed general GRSCM framework. In the GRSCM of this paper, RANdom SAmple Consensus (RANSAC), stepwise regression and significance testing are integrated and used. The experimental results demonstrate that the accuracy of the GRSCM is significantly improved compared with that of geometric correction and radiometric correction separately. [Termes IGN] structure-from-motionRésumé : (Auteur) We describe a fast and efficient camera pose refinement and Structure from Motion (SfM) method for sequential aerial imagery with applications to georegistration and 3-D reconstruction. Inputs to the system are 2-D images combined with initial noisy camera metadata measurements, available from on-board sensors (e.g., camera, global positioning system, and inertial measurement unit). Georegistration is required to stabilize the ground-plane motion to separate camera-induced motion from object motion to support vehicle tracking in aerial imagery. In the proposed approach, we recover accurate camera pose and (sparse) 3-D structure using bundle adjustment for sequential imagery (BA4S) and then stabilize the video from the moving platform by analytically solving for the image-plane-to-ground-plane homography transformation. Using this approach, we avoid relying upon image-to-image registration, which requires estimating feature correspondences (i.e., matching) followed by warping between images (in a 2-D space) that is an error prone process for complex scenes with parallax, appearance, and illumination changes. Both our SfM (BA4S) and our analytical ground-plane georegistration method avoid the use of iterative consensus combinatorial methods like RANdom SAmple Consensus which is a core part of many published approaches. BA4S is very efficient for long sequential imagery and is more than 130 times faster than VisualSfM, 35 times faster than MavMap, and about 274 times faster than Pix4D. Various experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and robustness of the proposed pipeline for the refinement of camera parameters in sequential aerial imagery and georegistration. [Termes IGN] modèle numérique de surfaceRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a global automatic process for the integration of satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images with rapid mapping for crisis management. The process consists of methods for the rapid geometric correction of slant-range TerraSAR-X images, and the geometric co-registration and radiometric merging of SAR data with satellite optical images using global digital elevation models (DEMs) and geoid models. The process is invariant to both radiometry and geometry, and is applied to high-resolution Single-look Slant-range Complex (SSC) TerraSAR-X images over suburban and rural areas. [Termes IGN] SIFT (algorithme)Résumé : (Auteur) Ortho-rectification of very high resolution imagery from agile platforms using Rigorous Sensor Model / Rational Functional Model is quite challenging and demands a fair amount of interactivity in Ground Control Point (GCP) identification/selection for refining the model and for final product evaluation. The paper proposes achieving complete automation in the ortho-rectification process by eliminating all the interactive components, and incorporating fault tolerance mechanisms within the model to make the process robust and reliable. The key aspects proposed in this paper are: two stage Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) based matching to obtain a large numbers of checkpoints using much coarser resolution images such as Landsat/ETM+, followed by a GA to select the right combination of minimal GCPS based on minimizing Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and maximizing the area covered under GCPS, and finally, a decision rule based product evaluation to make the process operate in an "autonomous closed loop mode". The method is generic and has been tested on hundreds of Cartosat-1/2 images, and has achieved above 90% reliability with sub-pixel relative error of reference data.
