[Termes IGN] réflectance spectraleRésumé : (auteur) Moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) is a 36-band spectroradiometer that measures the Earth’s surface from 0.4 to $14.4~\mu \text{m}$ at three spatial resolutions, 250 m (two bands), 500 m (five bands), and 1000 m (29 bands). The wide-scale use of the science products derived from the two MODIS instruments on the Terra and Aqua spacecrafts is a result of their excellent on-orbit performance, calibration stability, and accuracy through the life of the mission, making them a benchmark against which the performance of newer instruments is frequently evaluated. The recently launched multispectral instrument (MSI) aboard the Sentinel 2A and Sentinel 2B spacecrafts are part of the European Union’s Copernicus program designed to acquire high spatial resolution imagery in the reflective spectrum from 0.4 to $2.2~\mu \text{m}$ . One of the popular techniques to evaluate the on-orbit calibration is by comparing the top-of-atmosphere (TOA) reflectance with an independent (well-calibrated) sensor while viewing a pseudoinvariant desert target, such as Libya 4. In this work, the TOA reflectances from Terra and Aqua MODIS and Sentinel 2A and Sentinel 2B MSI are compared using the same-day scenes from Libya 4. The corrections for spectral response function mismatch and the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) are formulated and applied to obtain an effective TOA reflectance difference between the spectrally matching bands of these sensors. The availability of off-nadir MODIS overpass pairs with MSI facilitates the comparison across the entire MODIS scan-angle range and in turn an on-orbit evaluation of the response versus scan-angle (RVS) corrections is performed. Additionally, each MODIS instrument is used as a transfer mechanism to evaluate the calibration differences between the two MSIs, with an agreement to within 1% observed between the two MSIs. The radiometric calibration differences between Terra MODIS and the two MSIs at nadir is generally within 4%, with only the red-band pair (Terra MODIS band 1 and MSI band 4) showing disagreement beyond 4%. In general, the reflectance ratios are in better agreement with Aqua MODIS than with Terra MODIS. A better agreement between MODIS and the two MSIs is observed at nadir, indicating some residual effects associated with the BRDF correction that are observed in the off-nadir scene pairs. Also included in this article is a description of the various uncertainties associated with this cross-calibration. [Termes IGN] retard ionosphèriqueRésumé : (auteur) In the context of processing GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) data, it is known that the estimation of the ionospheric delays decreases the strength of the observation model and makes significant the time required to fix the ambiguities namely in case of long baselines. However, considering the double-differenced (DD) ionospheric delays as stochastic quantities, the redundancy in this case increases and leads to the reduction of time of fixing the ambiguities. The approach developed in the present paper makes two considerations: 1) the DD ionospheric delays are assumed as stochastic quantities and, 2) the spatial correlation of errors is accounted for based on a simple model of correlation. A simulation is made and aims to study the effect of these two mentioned considerations on the performances of the three multifrequency GNSSs; modernized GPS, Galileo and BDS which are not yet in full capability. For each GNSS, dual-frequency combinations of frequencies as well as triple-frequency combination are investigated in the simulation. The performances studied include: the time to fix the ambiguities with high success rate and the precision of coordinates in static relative positioning with varying baseline length. A method is developed to derive what we call the spatial correlation model which approximately gives the covariance between the individual errors belonging to two stations. Furthermore, the stochastic models that follow from accounting and neglecting the spatial correlation are developed. The LAMBDA (Least-squares Ambiguity Decorrelation Adjustment) method is implemented for ambiguity decorrelation. The results show that the time to fix the ambiguities caused by accounting the spatial correlation is less than the time of fix without the spatial correlation. Also, a slight superiority of Galileo in terms of performances is seen compared to the other GNSS. For all the dualfrequency combinations investigated, when processing a baseline length of 500 km with accounted spatial correlation, the time needed to successfully fix the ambiguities lies between 5 and 9 min, whereas it becomes only between 2.5 and 3 min for all the triple-frequency combinations, this is with a sampling time of 5 s. In addition, for all different combinations, the coordinates precision is less than 8 mm even for 500 km. We think that these high performances result from: 1) the precise codes of future GNSS signals, 2) the high redundancy in the observations equation and, 3) taking into account the spatial correlation in the definition of the stochastic model. [Termes IGN] voxelRésumé : (auteur) Using the observations from local and regional GPS networks, the estimation of slant wet delays (SWDs) is possible for each line of sight between satellite and receiver. The observations of SWD are used to model horizontal and vertical variations of the wet refractivity in the atmosphere above the study area. This work is done using the tomography method. In tomography, the horizontal variations of tropospheric wet refractivity are modeled with the polynomial in degree and rank of 2 with latitude and longitude as variables. Also, altitude variations are modeled in the form of discrete layers with constant heights. The main innovation is to estimate the tropospheric parameters for each line of sight by the artificial neural networks (ANNs). The SWD obtained from GPS observations for the different signals at each station is compared with the SWD generated by the ANNs (SWDGPS–SWDANNs). The square of the difference between these two values is introduced as the cost function in the ANNs. To evaluate, we used observations from October 27 to 31, 2011. The availability of GPS and radiosonde data is the main reason for choosing this timeframe. The correlation coefficient, root mean square error (RMSE), and relative error allow for evaluation of the proposed model. The results were also compared with the results of the voxel-based troposphere tomography method. For a more detailed evaluation, four test stations are selected and ANN zenith wet delays (ZWDANN) are compared with the ZWDGPS. Observations of test stations are not used in the modeling step. The correlation coefficient in the testing step for TomoANN and Tomovoxel is 0.9006 and 0.8863, respectively. The mean RMSE at 5 days for TomoANN and Tomovoxel is calculated as 0.63 and 0.71 mm/km, respectively. Also, the average relative error at the four test stations for TomoANN is 15.37% and for Tomovoxel it is 19.69%. The results demonstrate the better capability of the proposed method in the modeling of the tropospheric wet refractivity in the region of Iran. [Termes IGN] triple différenceRésumé : (auteur) Along with the rapid development of GNSS, not only BeiDou, but also Galileo, and the newly launched GPS satellites can provide signals on three frequencies at present. To fully take advantage of the multi-frequency multi-system GNSS observations on precise point positioning (PPP) technology, this study aims to implement the triple-frequency ambiguity resolution (AR) for GPS, Galileo, and BeiDou-2 combined PPP using the raw observation model. The processing of inter-frequency clock bias (IFCB) estimation and correction in the context of triple-frequency PPP AR has been addressed, with which the triple-frequency uncalibrated phase delay (UPD) estimation is realized for real GPS observations for the first time. In addition, the GPS extra-wide-line UPD quality is significantly improved with the IFCB correction. Because of not being contaminated by the IFCB, the raw UPD estimation method is directly employed for Galileo which currently has 24 satellites in operation. An interesting phenomenon is found that all Galileo satellites except E24 have a zero extra-wide-lane UPD value. With the multi-GNSS observations provided by MGEX covering 15 days, the positioning solutions of GPS + Galileo + BeiDou triple-frequency PPP AR have been conducted and analyzed. The triple-frequency kinematic GNSS PPP AR can achieve an averaged 3D positioning error of 2.2 cm, and an averaged convergence time of 10.8 min. The average convergence time can be reduced by triple-frequency GNSS PPP AR by 15.6% compared with dual-frequency GNSS PPP AR, respectively. However, the additional third frequency has only a marginal contribution to positioning accuracy after convergence. Even through many algorithms have achieved good performance for depth estimation using light-field cameras, removing the influence of occlusion, especially multi-occlusion, is still a challenging task. The photo-consistency assumption does not hold in the presence of occlusions, which makes most depth estimation of light-field imaging unreliable. In this article, a novel method to handle complex occlusion in depth estimation of light-field imaging is proposed. The method can effectively identify occluded pixels using a refocusing algorithm, accurately select unoccluded views using the adaptive unoccluded-view identification algorithm, and then improve the depth estimation by computing the cost volumes in the unoccluded views. Experimental results demonstrate the advantages of our proposed algorithm compared with conventional state-of-the art algorithms on both synthetic and real light-field data sets.
