[Termes IGN] reconstruction 3DRésumé : (Auteur) With the development of light-field imaging technology, depth estimation using light-field cameras has become a hot topic in recent years. Even through many algorithms have achieved good performance for depth estimation using light-field cameras, removing the influence of occlusion, especially multi-occlusion, is still a challenging task. The photo-consistency assumption does not hold in the presence of occlusions, which makes most depth estimation of light-field imaging unreliable. In this article, a novel method to handle complex occlusion in depth estimation of light-field imaging is proposed. The method can effectively identify occluded pixels using a refocusing algorithm, accurately select unoccluded views using the adaptive unoccluded-view identification algorithm, and then improve the depth estimation by computing the cost volumes in the unoccluded views. Experimental results demonstrate the advantages of our proposed algorithm compared with conventional state-of-the art algorithms on both synthetic and real light-field data sets. [Termes IGN] triple différenceRésumé : (auteur) This paper proposes precise point positioning (PPP) methods that offer an accuracy of a few decimetres (dm) with triple frequency GNSS data. Firstly, an enhanced triple frequency linear combination is presented for rapid fixing of the extra wide-lane (EWL) and wide-lane (WL) ambiguities for GPS, Beidou-2 and Galileo. This has improved performance compared to the Melbourne-Wübbena (MW) linear combination, and has 6.7 % lower measurement noise for the GPS L1/L2 signals, 12.7 % for L1/L5 and 0.7 % for L2/L5. Analysis with tested data showed a 5–6 % reduction in time required to fix the N21 and N51 ambiguities. Once the EWL/WL ambiguities are fixed with the proposed linear combinations, three methods are presented that aim to provide positioning accuracy of a few dm. In the first approach, the three EWL/WL ambiguities in their respective phase equations are used to derive a low-noise ionosphere-free (IF) linear combination. The second method uses a low noise IF combination with two carrier-phase EWL/WL equations and a single pseudorange measurement. The third method uses a low noise IF combination with a single carrier phase EWL equation and two pseudorange measurements. These proposed methods can provide dm level positioning accuracy if carrier phase measurements with mm precision is tracked by the receiver. When comparing these combinations with a combination proposed in [], it is found that superior performance is achieved with the third method when carrier phase noise is >5–6 mm for GPS and Beidou-2 and >2–3 mm for Galileo. This model only requires the EWL ambiguity to be fixed which typically takes just one epoch of data. Thus, the user achieves instant decimetre level PPP accuracy. [Vedettes matières IGN] SylvicultureRésumé : (auteur) Six experiments were established between 1955 and 1962 in different parts of northern and western Britain which used replicated randomized block designs to compare the performance of two species 50:50 mixtures with pure stands of the component species. The species involved were variously lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl.), Japanese larch (Larix kaempferi Lamb. Carr.), Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.), Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis Bong. Carr.) and western hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla Raf. Sarg.). The first four species are light demanding, while Sitka spruce is of intermediate shade tolerance and western hemlock is very shade tolerant: only Scots pine and silver birch are native to Great Britain. In three experiments (Bickley, Ceannacroc, Hambleton), the mixtures were of two light-demanding species, while at the other three sites, the mixture tested contained species of different shade tolerance. The experiments were followed for around 50 years, similar to a full rotation of even-aged conifer stands in Britain. Five experiments showed a tendency for one species to dominate in mixture, possibly reflecting differences in the shade tolerance or other functional traits of the component species. In the three experiments, the basal area of the mixtures at the last assessment was significantly higher than predicted based on the performance of the pure stands (i.e. the mixture ‘overyielded’). In two of these cases, the mixture had had a higher basal area than found in the more productive pure stand indicating ‘transgressive overyielding’. Significant basal area differences were generally more evident at the later assessment date. The exception was in a Scots pine: western hemlock mixture where greater overyielding at the earlier date indicated a nursing (‘facilitation’) effect. In the remaining experiments, the performance of the mixture conformed to predictions from the growth of the component species in pure stands. Taken overall, the results suggest that functional traits can be used to interpret the performance of mixtures but prediction of the outcome will require better understanding of the interplay between species and site characteristics plus the influence of silvicultural interventions. [Termes IGN] régularisation de TychonoffRésumé : (auteur) The Earth observation using remote sensing is one of the most important technologies to assimilate key attributes about the Earth’s surface. To achieve tangible consequence, the internal building blocks of such a complex system must operate flawlessly. However, due to a dynamically changing environment, degradation in sensor electronics, and extreme weather condition remotely sensed images often miss essential information. As the sensors operate over several years in space the likelihood of sensor degradation persists. This results in commonly observed issues, such as stripe noise, missing partial data, and missing band. Various ground-based solutions have been developed to address these technological bottlenecks individually. In this article, we devise a method, which we call ALERT, to tackle missing band reconstruction. The proposed method reconstructs the missing band with the sole supervision of spectral and spatial priors. We compare the proposed framework with state-of-the-art methods and show compelling improvement both qualitatively and quantitatively. We provide both theoretical and empirical evidence of better performance by regularized adversarial learning as compared to complete supervision. Furthermore, we propose a new residual-dense-block (RDB) module to preserve geometric fidelity and assist in efficient gradient flow. We show that ALERT captures essential features such that the spatial and spectral characteristics of the reconstructed band remains preserved. To critically analyze the generalization we test the performance on two different satellite data sets: Resourcesat-2A and WorldView-2. As per our extensive experimentation, the proposed method achieves 20.72%, 13.81%, 1.05%, 15.91%, and 2.94% improvement in the root mean square error (RMSE), SAM, SSIM, PSNR, and SRE, respectively, over the state-of-the-art model. In the present study, we use Airborne Visible InfraRed Imaging Spectrometer-Next Generation (AVIRIS-NG) datasets acquired over Rishabdev ultramafic suite to derive surficial mineral map using least square based spectral shape matching in wavelength range of diagnostic absorption features of minerals. Resulting mineral map revealed presence of hydrothermally altered serpentine group of minerals and associated alteration products (talc and dolomite) along with clays and phyllosilicates.
