[Termes IGN] télémétrie laser terrestreRésumé : (auteur) The determination of a fully populated variance-covariance matrix (VCM) of a point cloud acquired with a terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) is not straightforward as physical correlations between TLS observations are not sufficiently known. Ignoring correlations leads to biased estimates, wrong modeling of surfaces, or the misinterpretation of geometric changes. For this reason, this study aims at progressing the empirical determination of correlations in TLS range observations by investigating short-scale correlations (mm to cm) of TLS rangefinders. Therefore, two methods are proposed to determine spatial correlations between TLS range observations. Both methods are evaluated for simulated laser scans, and then applied to empirical data of four different terrestrial laser scanners. The results demonstrate that short-scale correlations exist, and it is possible to quantify the relevant parameters to fill the VCM. It also shows that the correlation differs between the scanners and with the distance. Furthermore, we analyze the change of the correlation length with changing scanning configurations such as distance, incidence angle, and reflectivity with the result that this must be considered while applying the aforementioned methods to point clouds of large objects. All in all, this study trustfully quantifies physical short-scale correlations yielding from the rangefinder and suggests a guideline to apply this to point clouds of large objects. However, due to the unique imaging method of optical satellite remote sensing, the detection of slender targets is still insufficient. Specifically, the perspective of optical satellites is small, and the characteristics of slender targets are severely lost during imaging, resulting in insufficient detection task information; at the same time, the appearance of slender targets in the image is greatly affected by the satellite perspective, which is likely to cause insufficient generalization capabilities of conventional detection models. In response to these two points, we have made some improvements. First, in this paper, we introduce the shadow as auxiliary information to complement the trunk features of the target lost in imaging. Second, to reduce the impact of satellite perspective on imaging, in this paper, we use the characteristic that shadow information is not affected by satellite perspective to design STC-Det. STC-Det treats the shadow and the target as two different types of targets and uses the shadow information to assist the detection, reducing the impact of the satellite perspective on detection. Among them, in order to improve the performance of STC-Det, we propose an automatic matching method (AMM) of shadow and target and a feature fusion method (FFM). Finally, this paper proposes a new method to calculate the heatmaps of detectors, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed network in a visual way. Experiments show that when the satellite perspective is variable, the precision of STC-Det is increased by 1.7%, and when the satellite perspective is small, the precision of STC-Det is increased by 5.2%. [Termes IGN] urbanisationRésumé : (auteur) This study aims to detect recent landslide displacements caused by geological structure of the region where there is intense urbanization using advanced Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) techniques and with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) observations in the Beylikdüzü and Esenyurt districts in Istanbul megacity, Turkey. In this study, multiple satellites with different frequencies (C-band, L-band) and periodic GNSS observations were employed. For the entire peninsula, we processed 149 images from the ascending orbit, 144 images from the descending orbit of Sentinel-1 (C-Band) and 24 ALOS-2 (L-band) images from the ascending orbit. The evaluations were carried out in the period between 2015 and 2020 for Sentinel-1 imagery and 2015–2020 for ALOS-2 imagery respectively. Since the study area is covered by dense settlements, the Persistent Scatterer InSAR (PSI) technique was utilized to determine the landslide behaviors. According to the results, for both orbits of the Sentinel-1, the horizontal displacement and the vertical displacement were observed in the range of − 10 to 6 mm. Compared to the magnitude of displacement signal measured by Sentinel-1, ALOS-2 data has higher values due to the high surface penetration of the L-band. The results showed that most of the old landslide regions are reactivated. Horizontal movement derived through Sentinel-1 showed that the highest movement overlaps with old landslides. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) The traditional hill-shading map is usually produced from a digital elevation model (DEM) by using the method of hypsometric tinting, which is capable of demonstrating the changes in geomorphology by setting the colors for hill-shading. However, the disadvantage is obvious that the surface features of the terrain can only be utilized by putting vector data on the map. Hence, the terrain display effect will be altered, especially in the production of large-scale maps, for which the artistic effect will be greatly weakened. This paper proposes a solution to this problem. First, we transform the RGB color space of the Digital orthophotographic map (DOM) image into the intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) color space. Then, we calculate the new value of the intensity as I′ for each pixel of the shaded relief model (SRM) of the high-resolution remote sensing image. Finally, we replace the component I with the new component I′ and then proceed with the inverse IHS transform. The case study shows that an objective representation of the actual situation is presented in the mapping area, and the 3D performance capabilities are enhanced. This research indicates that when the method of fusing the processed SRM with the IHS color system is used, the optimum index factor (OIF) and entropy of the generated map are 41.26 and 12.05, respectively, which are much greater than for the results of the traditional method. In other words, the proposed method can greatly enhance the terrain effect. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) Staring spotlight images with a spatial resolution of up to tens of centimeters are good data sources for urban applications including displacement mapping. However, phase discontinuities, layover, and shadowing effect are also associated with staring spotlight interferograms, adding to the difficulties in height estimation and spatial phase unwrapping. The scattering mechanism of the staring spotlight images in the urban environment is complicated, thus it is difficult to simulate and remove the reference height of staring spotlight interferograms directly. In addition, global spatial phase unwrapping networks tend to smooth phase discontinuities. With the aim of implementing height estimation and phase unwrapping for TerraSAR-X Staring Spotlight interferograms, a workflow for phase unmixing of TerraSAR-X staring spotlight interferograms is proposed in this paper. The PS height is estimated in the baseline domain rather than the spatial domain. Taking into account the length and height change of each connection, the spatial phase unwrapping network is adjusted and segmented into isolated networks. The connected components of the adjusted spatial phase unwrapping network can be identified using graph theory. Spatial phase unwrapping is implemented in individual networks. The unfolded height phase is separated from the unwrapped phase, and the remaining phase is deformation dominated. Compared with the traditional global spatial phase unwrapping method, this study demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed least squares parameter search and graph partition based workflow in urban area, for phase unmixing of TerraSAR-X staring spotlight interferograms in building scale for PS height and deformation, as evidenced by external LiDAR DSM and temperature records.
