[Termes descripteurs IGN] transport collectifRésumé : (auteur) Accessibility is a representative indicator for evaluating the supply of bus system. Traditional studies have evaluated the accessibility from different aspects. Considering the interaction among land use, bus timetable arrangement and individual factors, a more holistic accessibility measurement is proposed to combine static and dynamic characteristics from multisource traffic data. The rationale of the proposed model is verified by a case study of bus system in Shenzhen, China, which is carried out to find the spatial and temporal discrepancy of service of bus system. It is found that the adjustment of bus schedule to time-varying travel demand can affect accessibility of bus system and that Land-use development, average bus speed and bus facilities all have positive effects on accessibility of bus system. These findings provide significant reference for transport planning and policy-making. The proposed model is not limited to accessibility measuring of bus system, but also applicable to other travel modes. [Termes descripteurs IGN] vitesse de déplacementRésumé : (auteur) The outcomes for emergency medical services (EMS) are highly dependent on space-time accessibility. Prior research describes the location of EMS needs with low accuracy and has not integrated a temporal analysis of the road network, which accounts for varying mobility in a dynamic transportation network. In this study, we formulated a network-based location-allocation model (NLAM) and analyzed the spatial characteristics of emergency medical facilities within the fifth ring road in Beijing by considering time, traffic, and population characteristics. The conclusions are as follows: (1) The high demand area for EMS is concentrated in the areas in middle, north, and east during the daytime (8:00–20:00) and in the middle and north during the nighttime (20:00–8:00). From day to night, the centroid of the potential demand distribution shifts in the Western and Southern areas. (2) The road traffic data is sampled 20 times throughout the week, and variations in the average driving speed affect a higher mean driving speed on the weekend. This primarily impacts the main roads, due to these roads experiencing the greatest fluctuation in speed throughout the week of any roadway in the study area. (3) Finally, the 15-min coverage of emergency medical facilities are sampled 20 times in one week and analyzed. Fortunately, there is 100% coverage at night; however, due to traffic congestion, there were a few blind coverage areas in the daytime. The blind area is prevalent in Shijingshan South Station and the Jingxian Bridge in the South fifth ring. [Termes descripteurs IGN] transport urbainRésumé : (auteur) High budget transport infrastructure projects in the Istanbul Metropolitan Area endeavour to increase the efficiency of the transportation system. Among those investments; the bus rapid transit system – Istanbul Metrobus Line (IML) – is the most popular one that serves one million trips per day. Yet, the performance and impact of IML are not quantitatively assessed. Hence in this study, a high-resolution GIS-remote sensing framework is designed to analyse before and after accessibility over the period of 40 years (namely 1987–1997–2007–2014). High resolution satellite images were processed to generate the lacking historical land cover/use information with the expected high accuracy. Within the study area, utilized accessibility indices have unevenly increased after the operation of IML, such as 104.19% in potential and 99.07% in daily accessibility. According to the achieved results, such high spatio-temporal spatial framework could aid decision makers to quantitatively assess and evaluate the performance of such investments. [Termes descripteurs IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (auteur) Access to certain types of facilities can promote health and well‐being. When population and facilities are not uniformly distributed across the landscape, inequities in accessibility may occur. Current research into GIS‐based accessibility measures has focused primarily on spatial inequities between different geographic locations but not directly on differences in accessibility between subgroups of the population. The research presented here develops a new method for measuring differential accessibility to facilities between various segments of the population. The method extends concepts and techniques in spatial point pattern analysis that account for the spatial structure of demand and its relationship to supply. In this approach, the traditional Lorenz curve and its associated indices, the Gini coefficient and the dissimilarity index, which are used to measure inequality, are recast in spatial terms for measuring differences in accessibility between population subgroups. An analysis of spatial accessibility to grocery stores in Akron, OH illustrates the value of the spatial Lorenz curve and its associated indices compared to other methods. [Termes descripteurs IGN] temps de trajetRésumé : (Auteur) Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages is the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Inequality in access to health care remains one of the primary challenges in achieving the goal. With the ever-increasing expansion of urban areas and population growth, there is a need to regularly examine the pattern of accessibility of basic amenities across regions, States and urban areas. This study examined geographic access to Primary Health Care Facilities (PHCF) in Nigeria using the combination of open data and geospatial analysis techniques. Thus, showcasing an approach can be replicated across different regions in Sub-Saharan Africa due to issues of information gap. Data on elevation, location of health care facilities, population and network data were utilised. The result shows that PHCF aggregate at certain locations, e.g. major urban agglomerations, and transit route leading to these places. High concentrations are found in the capital city. The average travel time to the nearest PHCF is about 14 min (Standard Deviation ±13.30 min) while the maximum is about 2 hours. Pockets of low accessibility areas exist across the Akwa Ibom State in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. There is an indication that most places have good geographic access. Across the 1787 settlements identified in our dataset, 98.3% are with good access (60 min). Geographic access is not the main limiting factor to health care access in the region. Therefore, computation of access to health care should take into consideration other dimensions of accessibility, to create a robust measure which will support effective and efficient health care planning and delivery.
