[Termes IGN] trajet (mobilité)Résumé : (Auteur) Recently much research has been focused on developing techniques and systems for providing routes within buildings. While outdoor routing is based on criteria such as shortest, fastest and least turns, indoor routing is primarily based on accessibility and safety criteria, and while outdoor routing could adversely be impacted by weather and traffic, among other conditions, such conditions do not affect indoor routing. However, developing techniques that meet user's indoor routing preferences, especially those with special needs, is a challenging task. An example is development of a set of techniques that avoids a hallway with a protruding object to allow safe passage by the visually impaired or that avoids stairs for the mobility impaired. In this article, we present and analyze new techniques based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards that provide routes within buildings and meet user's special needs and preferences. Dans cette perspective, il propose également des sources inédites de données spatiales empiriques et des techniques de cartographie qui peuvent être utilisées pour dégager et analyser ces géographies sur la longue durée. [Termes IGN] trajectoire (véhicule non spatial)Résumé : (Auteur) More and more mobile objects are now equipped with sensors allowing real time monitoring of their movements. Nowadays, the data produced by these sensors can be stored in spatio-temporal databases. The main goal of this article is to perform a data mining on a huge quantity of mobile object's positions moving in an open space in order to deduce its behaviour. New tools must be defined to ease the detection of outliers. First of all, a zone graph is set up in order to define itineraries. Then, trajectories of mobile objects following the same itinerary are extracted from the spatio-temporal database and clustered. A statistical analysis on this set of trajectories lead to spatio-temporal patterns such as the main route and spatio-temporal channel followed by most of trajectories of the set. Using these patterns, unusual situations can be detected. Furthermore, a mobile object's behaviour can be defined by comparing its positions with these spatio-temporal patterns. In this article, this technique is applied to ships' movements in an open maritime area. Unusual behaviours such as being ahead of schedule or delayed or veering to the left or to the right of the main route are detected. A case study illustrates these processes based on ships' positions recorded during two years around the Brest area. This method can be extended to almost all kinds of mobile objects (pedestrians, aircrafts, hurricanes, ...) moving in an open area. [Termes IGN] vue 3DRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper we introduce analytical three-dimensional (3D) views as a means for effective and comprehensible information delivery, using virtual globes and the third dimension as an additional information carrier. Four case studies are presented, in which information extraction results from very high spatial resolution (VHSR) satellite images were conditioned and aggregated or disaggregated to regular spatial units. The case studies were embedded in the context of: (1) urban life quality assessment (Salzburg/Austria); (2) post-disaster assessment (Harare/Zimbabwe); (3) emergency response (Lukole/Tanzania); and (4) contingency planning (faked crisis scenario/Germany). The results are made available in different virtual globe environments, using the implemented contextual data (such as satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and auxiliary geodata) as valuable additional context information. Both day-to-day users and high-level decision makers are addressees of this tailored information product. The degree of abstraction required for understanding a complex analytical content is balanced with the ease and appeal by which the context is conveyed. Malgré un public essentiellement interne, ce rendez-vous annuel est ouvert à tous. Une bonne occasion pour découvrir quelques pistes de recherches originales.
