[Termes IGN] Triangulated Irregular NetworkRésumé : (auteur) Dense image matching (DIM) and LiDAR are two complementary techniques for recovering the 3D geometry of real scenes. While DIM provides dense surfaces, they are often noisy and contaminated with outliers. Conversely, LiDAR is more accurate and robust, but less dense and more expensive compared to DIM. In this work, we investigate learning-based methods to refine surfaces produced by photogrammetry with sparse LiDAR point clouds. Unlike the current state-of-the-art approaches in the computer vision community, our focus is on aerial acquisitions typical in photogrammetry. We propose a densification pipeline that adopts a PSMNet backbone with triangulated irregular network interpolation based expansion, feature enhancement in cost volume, and conditional cost volume normalization, i.e. PSMNet-FusionX3. Our method works better on low density and is less sensitive to distribution, demonstrating its effectiveness across a range of LiDAR point cloud densities and distributions, including analyses of dataset shifts. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Real-time positioning in suburban and urban environments has been a challenging task for many Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications. In these environments, positioning using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) cannot provide continuous solutions due to the blockage of signals in harsh scenarios. Consequently, it is intrinsic to have an independent positioning system capable of providing accurate and reliable positional solutions over GNSS outages. This study exploits the integration of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), gyroscope, and odometer sensors, and a novel real-time algorithm is proposed for this integration. Real field data, collected by a moving land vehicle, is used to test the presented algorithm. Three simulated GNSS outages are introduced in the trajectory such that each outage lasts for five minutes. The results show that using the proposed algorithm can achieve a promising navigation performance in urban environments. In addition, it is shown that the denser environments, that existed over the second and third outages, can provide better positioning accuracies as more features are extracted. The horizontal errors over the first outage, with less density of surroundings, reached 7.74 m (0.43%) error with a mean value of 3.15 m. Moreover, the horizontal errors in the denser environments over the second and third outages reached 4.97 m (0.28%) and 3.99 m (0.23%), with mean values of 2.25 m and 1.89 m, respectively. [Termes IGN] zone semi-arideRésumé : (auteur) This study focused on monitoring the water status of vegetation and soil by exploiting the synergy of optical and microwave satellite data with the aim of improving the knowledge of water cycle in cultivated lands in Egyptian Delta and Tunisian areas. Environmental analysis approaches based on optical and synthetic aperture radar data were carried out to set up the basis for future implementation of practical and cost-effective methods for sustainable water use in agriculture. Long-term behaviors of vegetation indices were thus analyzed between 2000 and 2018. By using SAR data from Sentinel-1, an Artificial Neural Network-based algorithm was implemented for estimating soil moisture and monthly maps for 2018 have been generated to be compared with information derived from optical indices. Moreover, a novel drought severity index was developed and applied to available data. The index was obtained by combining vegetation soil difference index, derived from optical data, and soil moisture content derived from SAR data. The proposed index was found capable of complementing optical and microwave sensitivity to drought-related parameters, although ground data are missing for correctly validating the results, by capturing drought patterns and their temporal evolution better than indices based only on microwave or optical data. Most existing approaches are based on fully supervised learning, but labeled data are so scarce for change detection. It is difficult to exhibit high detection performance with a limited amount of labeled data. In this paper, we propose a semi-supervised Label Propagation (SSLP) approach for multi-source remote sensing image change detection. First, a clustering label propagation (CLP) method is designed to cluster pre and post images, respectively, and assign pseudo labels to unlabeled pixel pairs that have similar mapping relationships to labeled pixel pairs. Second, a pixel density metric is investigated to filter out the data with low density and retain the data with high density, which can ensure the reliability of the propagated data. Third, a secondary expansion method based on pixel neighborhood is used to generate enough training data for training a classifier. Finally, the effectiveness of SSLP is validated on three real datasets by comparing to other related methods.
