However, it is challenging to identify the real terrain features in complex areas using LiDAR data. To solve this problem, this work proposes a multi-information fusion method based on PointNet++ to improve the accuracy of DEM construction. The RGB data and normalized coordinate information of the point cloud was added to increase the number of channels on the input side of the PointNet++ neural network, which can improve the accuracy of the classification during feature extraction. Low and high density point clouds obtained from the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) were used to test this proposed method. The results suggest that the proposed method improves the Kappa coefficient by 8.81% compared to PointNet++. The type I error was reduced by 2.13%, the type II error was reduced by 8.29%, and the total error was reduced by 2.52% compared to the conventional algorithm. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the proposed method can obtain DEMs with higher accuracy. [Termes IGN] propagation d'erreurRésumé : (auteur) Using GNSS-Acoustic (GNSS-A) technology to establish the seafloor geodetic datum is both feasible and flexible and thus has become an important way to obtain the absolute positions of seafloor control points. However, numerous errors are inevitable in marine surveying, including systematic errors and gross errors caused by GNSS dynamic positioning, inaccurate sound velocity profile measurements, and ocean ambient noise, and their interference will be directly reflected in the positioning results. To accurately calculate the seafloor control point coordinates, this paper first notes that the general error propagation law (EPL) method is defective in dealing with various error factors in GNSS-A positioning. A more rigorous method incorporates the time-varying term of the sound velocity ranging error into the coefficient matrix of the underwater observation equation, and the transducer position error should be considered. Therefore, a Gauss-Helmert (GH) model is used for seafloor control point positioning. Then, considering the dual nonlinearity of the model, a Lagrange objective function is constructed to derive its solution algorithm. On this basis, considering the gross errors polluting of the observations, the robust estimation principle is introduced, and the robust solution steps are given. Finally, simulation experiments and a testing experiment in the sea area near Jiaozhou Bay are used to verify the performance of the new method. The results show that the functional relationship and stochastic model of the nonlinear GH model for seafloor point positioning are reasonably described. Under ideal conditions with no gross errors and either different water depths or different transducer position errors, the accuracy and stability of the new method are both higher than those of the EPL method. When the observations are polluted by gross errors, the robust algorithm of the new method can accurately identify the abnormal information. By improving the robustness of the observation and structure spaces, the positioning precision of the 3D point deviation results can be optimized, and the solution performance of the new method is superior to that of the general method. However, as the number of camera poses and features grows, refinement through bundle adjustment becomes inefficient. Inspired by global motion averaging methods, we propose a new bundle adjustment objective which does not rely on image features' reprojection errors yet maintains precision on par with classical BA. Our method averages over relative motions while implicitly incorporating the contribution of the structure in the adjustment. To that end, we weight the objective function by local hessian matrices-a by-product of local bundle adjustments performed on relative motions (eg, pairs or triplets) during the pose initialisation step. Such hessians are extremely rich as they encapsulate both the features' random errors and the geometric configuration between the cameras. These pieces of information propagated to the global frame help to guide the final optimisation in a more rigorous way. We argue that this approach is an upgraded version of the motion averaging approach and demonstrate its effectiveness on both photogrammetric datasets and computer vision benchmarks. [Termes IGN] système de numérisation mobileRésumé : (auteur) The study aims to find a low-cost alternate technology to get imagery, using mobile platform, and produce digital orthophoto for corridor mapping, with a higher degree of accuracy and which can reduce the lag time of acquisition of data. The present study uses digital single-lens reflex cameras, mounted on a mobile vehicle, and acquisition of data in the video format rather than still photographs, as traditionally used in mobile mapping systems. The videos are used to create a set of images and orthophotos. A widespread ground control points were recorded in the study area, using the global navigation satellite system receiver, which measured the control points in real-time kinematic mode. Generation of digital orthophoto has been completed using the captured mobile imagery and ground control point. Furthermore, procurement of satellite imagery and aerial triangulation using ground control points have been done. While comparing the planimetric accuracy of orthophoto against satellite imagery using the ground control points, the achieved root mean square error value of produced orthophoto is 0.171 m in X axis and 0.205 m in Y axis. However, for Cartosat -1 satellite imagery, the RMSE value for X is 1.22 m and for Y is 1.98 m. This research proposes the alternate low-cost mobile mapping method to capture the imagery for orthophoto production. The cost of orthophoto production from mobile image was found 77% cheaper than the orthophoto cost from fresh/latest satellite imagery procurement, while the overall production was 70% cost-effective than the orthophoto maps made from archived imagery. [Termes IGN] structure-from-motionRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, we evaluated the results in terms of accuracy and coverage of the LiDAR-UAV system DJI Zenmuse L1 and Digital Aerial Photogrammetric system (DAP – UAV) DJI Zenmuse P1 in a forested area under leaf-off conditions on three sites with varying terrain ruggedness/tree type combinations. Detailed reference clouds were obtained using terrestrial scanning by Leica P40. Our results show that branches pose no problem to the accuracy of LiDAR-UAV and DAP-UAV derived terrain clouds. Elevation accuracies for photogrammetric data were even better than for LiDAR data – as low as 0.015 m on all sites. However, the LiDAR system provided better coverage, with almost full coverage at all sites, while the DAP-UAV coverage declined with the increasing density of branches (being worst in the young forest). In the very dense young forest (Site 1), the coverage by photogrammetrically extracted terrain cloud using high calculation quality and no filtering achieved 80.7% coverage, while LiDAR-UAV reached almost 100% coverage. The importance of the use of multiple (or last) returns when using LiDAR-UAV systems was demonstrated by the fact that on the site with the densest vegetation, only 11% of the ground points were represented by first returns.
