[Termes IGN] précision géométrique (imagerie)Résumé : (Auteur) High-resolution ( 1m) satellite imagery and archival World War 2 era (WW2) aerial photographs are currently available to support high-resolution longterm change measurements at sites across China. A major limitation to these measurements is the spatial accuracy with which this imagery can be orthorectified and co-registered. We orthorectified IKONOS 1m resolution GEO-format imagery and WW2 aerial photographs across five 100km2 rural sites in China with terrain ranging from flat to hilly to mountainous. Ground control points (GCPs) were collected uniformly across 100 km2 IKONOS scenes using a differential Global Positioning Systems (GPS) field campaign. WW2 aerial photos were co-registered to orthorectified IKONOS imagery using bundle block adjustment and rational function models. GCP precision, terrain relief and the number and distribution of GCPs significantly influenced image orthorectification accuracy. Root mean square errors (RMSEs) at GCPs for IKONOS imagery were Numéro de notice : A2005-256 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1080/01431160512331326684 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1080/01431160512331326684 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27392

[Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (Auteur) The aim of this study is to evaluate the hazard of landslide at Penang Malaysia, using a Geographical Information System (GIS) and remote sensing. Landslide locations were identified in the study area from interpretation of aerial photographs and from field surveys. Topographical and geological data and satellite images were collected, processed and constructed into a spatial database using GIS and image processing. The factors chosen that influence landslide occurrence were: topographic slope, topographic aspect topographic curvature and distance from drainage, all from the topographic database; lithology and distance from lineament, taken from the geologic database: land use from Thematic Mapper (TM) satellite images; and the vegetation index value from Systeme Probatoire de l'Observation de la Terre (SPOT) .satellites images. Landslide hazardous areas were analysed and mapped using the landslide-occurrence factors by logistic regression model. The results of the analysis .were verified using the landslide location data and compared with probabilistic model. The validation results showed that the logistic regression model is better in prediction than probabilistic model. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) This paper is about the development of a decision-support system for water-pollution management and environmental planning. More specifically, the paper first presents the overall concept and the system architecture of a generic environmental decision-support system (EDSS) and then develops an EDSS especially for analysing the tidal flow pattern and water quality of China's Pearl River Delta. The EDSS developed here employs the object-oriented approach to design the environmental database and utilizes the system integration technology to develop the overall user-friendly system that operates in the Windows environment. Furthermore, the system can be expanded to facilitate automated model selection and analysis. The EDSS should be of value for managing water quality of river networks with complicated flow patterns, such as that found in the Pearl River Delta. [Termes IGN] Tokyo (Japon)Résumé : (Auteur) The Vehicle-borne Laser Measurement System (VLMS) is a mobile mapping system where three single-row laser range scanners, six line CCD cameras, and a GPS/INS-based navigation unit are mounted on a van to measure object geometry and texture along a street. This paper contributes to a method of fusing the data output of VLMS with existing geographic data sources where the focus is on the rectification of the vehicle's motion data derived from GPS/INS, which may be quite erroneous in an urban area. An algorithm is developed to correct the four variables of the vehicle's motion data, i.e., x, y, and z coordinates of the vehicle position and yaw angle of orientation by registering the laser points of the VLMS with an existing data source, e.g., a DSM. The algorithm was examined using the VLMS data that were taken in the Ginza District, Tokyo. By manually assigning 18 sets of tie-points, the vehicle's motion data were corrected automatically and efficiently, such that the laser points of VLMS were matched to a DSM. In data fusion, a set of objects, which contained commercial signboards, traffic signs and signals, road boundaries, and road lights were extracted from the corrected VLMS data using an interface described in a previous paper. They were integrated with a 1:2500 3D map that consists of only building frames. In addition, line images from the VLMS were projected onto the building facades of the 3D Map, and textures were generated automatically.
