The results revealed good performance indicators; the precision was in the order of 1.3 cm in the horizontal component and about 2.2 cm in the vertical (at 1 sigma). The VRS solution's availability was 97.25%, its integrity was 98.8% in the horizontal and 94.9% in the vertical, and the TTFA ranged from a few seconds to a few minutes. The VRS measurements' repeatability presented similar measurement results throughout time. High satellite numbers have been tracked, their geometry (PDOP) was ideal. [Termes IGN] teneur en vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) Northern Algeria region is characterized a Mediterranean climate, cold, humid, dry winters and warm summers, same as other countries in the world, and is exposed to desertification problems. Along its coast, the average annual precipitation is 384 mm, so more than 75% of its territory has an annual precipitation lower than 384 mm. This is a global problem that affects a large number of people and land, and is now one of the most important environmental problems in Algeria. The work presented in this paper describe a preliminary study of GNSS meteorology technique based on GNSS positioning and estimation of the tropospheric water vapor quantity based exclusively on the INCT-GNSS network. According to our results, we noted that the integrated content of water vapor is a highly variable parameter that depends on the study region, in our study it is between the South and the North of Algeria, this variation is related to the geographical position in relation to the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the season, noticing that during the winter the quantities of water vapor are low compared to the summer. No relationship could be found between GNSS IWV and precipitation values, except for a significant increase in GNSS IWV that frequently precedes the arrival of precipitation. Improving atmospheric observation techniques and understanding of the key processes of precipitation formation is thus a major challenge for our society. In fact, a better prediction of precipitation would allow bettering anticipating the occurrence of floods and consequently to minimize the damages related to these events. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) This study presents the results from an experiment conducted in two peri-urban areas of Northern Ghana using Participatory GIS (PGIS) to identify land tenure and use rights on customary and statutory lands. P-Mapping was used to uncover indigenous knowledge on the changes in land ownership, land use rights and land-use types over ten years. The paper finds that properly trained local people can reliably delineate and indicate land rights and land uses in their environment on photomaps with little support from professionals. The experiment results show that PGIS can accelerate land adjudication processes on customary lands. [Termes IGN] système d'information foncièreRésumé : (auteur) The fit-for-purpose rural cadastre has been implemented for several years in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. There are no internationally accepted methodologies to evaluate the efficacy of rural cadastral systems in developing countries. In this study, an evaluation framework was designed from the literature review and used to assess the quality of the rural cadastral system. A mixed research method was applied. Data were secured from the pertinent participants, and descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The findings indicated that the framework developed for the quality assessment was found to be an essential tool to evaluate the efficacy of rural cadastral systems. The study identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the cadastral systems of the Amhara region, which underpinned the understanding of the spatial, legal, and institutional arrangements and statuses. Further, this study identified sets of indicators and good practices of the system. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) The ever-increasing population causes huge pressure on the areas already inhabited and causes a decrease in an area per capita. This fact necessitates an essential demand for evaluating and classifying the soil according to its agricultural productivity for different crops. This research aimed to evaluate lands which proposed to use in the agricultural field in the south of Al-Dabaa Corridor based on remote sensed data and GIS techniques. Moreover, the future optimum agricultural use planning will be projected based on the land assessments in the study area. Land suitability was evaluated using ALES-arid software for six crops. It was found that 74% of the study area was suitable for one fruit crop, date palm, and about 77.3% for one crop, alfalfa, and also suitable for one vegetable crop, tomato, by 77.1%. Furthermore, it was found that the study area was moderately suitable for other two crops, faba bean and maize (72.7 and 67.8%), and one fruit crop, citrus (70.1%). On the other hand, it was found that the characteristics that most affected the suitability class of fruit crops were soil salinity, soil depth, ESP, slope, and coarse texture. Finally, the study area should go under major reclamation process (removal of the excess salts and improvement of the drainage conditions) in order to obtain the highest production.
