[Termes IGN] zone tropicale humideRésumé : (Auteur) Considérée comme un des fléaux écologiques majeurs de cette fin de siècle, la déforestation tropicale se déroule à des échelles spatiales et temporelles variables. Dans ses différents contextes socioéconomiques et politiques, ce phénomène peut être observé par télédétection. Cette contribution présente un essai de caractérisation multiscalaire de la déforestation par l'agriculture itinérante sur brûlis. Deux variantes de ce système agraire tropical sont abordées : l'abattis en Guyane française, et la frontière agricole en Amazonie brésilienne. La description géographique de ces deux variantes permet ensuite de relever et d'expliquer leurs configurations spatiales et spectrales sur les images satellites et les photographies aériennes. La frontière agricole correspond à une déforestation en fronts pionniers opérée essentiellement par les migrants. Elle se traduit par sa structure en peigne sur les images NOAA et Landsat. Quant aux abattis qui grignotent la forêt guyanaise, leur typologie est établie en fonction de la reconnaissance des différents états de surface sur une image Spot HRVIR. Ce travail augure de la faisabilité du suivi des abattis par télédétection. Toutefois, un suivi opérationnel à l'aide d'images fournies par les capteurs passifs, demeure fortement limité par les contraintes météorologiques du milieu tropical humide. Dans ce contexte, les images radar constituent un excellent complément de l'imagerie optique. Mais les difficultés de l'interprétation du signal retrodiffusé freinent l'exploitation courante des images radar à des fins de cartographie de l'occupation anthropique du sol. Le Cemagref a été chargé par le Ministère de l'Agriculture et de la Pêche de mettre au point une méthode de diagnostic territorial départemental axé sur l'eau, c'est à dire qui concerne les hydrosystèmes de surface et les hydrosystèmes souterrains ; c'est la mission qui nous a été confiée pour le projet du Mastère SILAT. L'utilisation de l'outil SIG est souhaitée pour sa mise en œuvre. La première partie de ce rapport expose le contexte et les objectifs du projet. La deuxième présente la méthode retenue basée sur la construction d'indicateurs spatialisés. Le champ d'étude a été restreint à deux enjeux entre eau et agriculture en Dordogne : la quantité d'eau disponible et la pollution des eaux souterraines par les nitrates d'origine agricole. La construction des indicateurs de "disponibilité de la ressource" et de "risque de contamination par les nitrates" correspondant à ces enjeux, est expliquée dans la troisième partie. Enfin, une demière partie apporte des éléments de réflexion sur le choix de la méthode, ses limites et sur les évolutions possibles de cette dernière. Cette étude constitue une première approche pour la recherche d'une méthode permettant de traiter des données sur l'eau à l'échelle d'un département pour l'élaboration d'un diagnostic de territoire. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueIndex. décimale : SILAT Mastère Systèmes d'Informations Localisées pour l'Aménagement des Territoires Résumé : (Auteur) Un Système d'Information à référence spatiale (SIRS) pour l'aide à la gestion de l'espace pastoral est actuellement à l'étude dans les Alpes-Maritimes. Les blocages relèvent de son caractère multi-partenaires puisqu'il doit s'appuyer sur les Systèmes d'Information (SI) des quatre institutions partenaires : la Direction des Services Vétérinaires (DSV), la Direction Départementale de l'Agriculture et de la Forêt (DDAF), l'Office National des Forêts (ONF) et le Parc du Mercantour.
Le principe de cette étude est la recherche de compromis entre les acteurs. Elle s'appuie sur une méthode d'analyse-conception progressive dans le but de construire un Référentiel spatial commun, et utilise un cas concret d'étude, le domaine pastoral de la commune de Tende (Haute-vallée de la Roya) pour créer une dynamique entre ces acteurs. L'intéractivité entre les partenaires du projet avait déjà été initiée par la constitution d'un comité de pilotage. Cette démarche a abouti à une définition normalisée de l'entité spatiale commune du Référentiel - l'unité pastorale - grâce à l'analyse des territoires d'action des institutions et de leurs représentations. L'ensemble des analyses a conduit à une proposition pour l'intégration des données et l'articulation des ressources matérielles et humaines dans le cadre du Référentiel spatial commun et de sa mise à jour. Cette proposition est formulée dans un modèle conceptuel et illustrée à l'aide d'une maquette informatique. La méthode proposée se structure à partir de Systèmes d'Information indépendants communicants, coopérants et coordonnés , sa mise en oeuvre implique des changements dans l'organisation des institutions.Note de contenu : 1 LES FONDEMENTS DE LA DÉMARCHE

Le thème retenu pour les Journées CASSINI 2001, du 26 au 28 septembre à Montpellier, était `Géomatique et espace rural". Cette thématique recouvre notamment des sousthèmes comme l'agriculture, l'agriculture de précision, la biovigilance, l'épidémiologie, les espaces naturels, les mesures agri-environnementales, la forêt, le pastoralisme, l'hydrologie, le développement local et l'aménagement du territoire. Les articles rassemblés dans ce document présentent les expériences exposées au cours des journées, sous la forme de présentation orale ou de poster, et classées ici selon les six axes scientifiques du groupement de recherche SIGMA (gestion de l'environnement, analyse spatiale, qualité, interagir, systèmes d'information géographique et mobilité, télédétection à très haute résolution spatiale).
