[Termes IGN] veille économiqueRésumé : (éditeur) This open access book is based on 'Spationomy – Spatial Exploration of Economic Data', an interdisciplinary and international project in the frame of ERASMUS+ funded by the European Union. The project aims to exchange interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of economics and geomatics. For the newly introduced courses, interdisciplinary learning materials have been developed by a team of lecturers from four different universities in three countries. In a first study block, students were taught methods from the two main research fields. Afterwards, the knowledge gained had to be applied in a project. For this international project, teams were formed, consisting of one student from each university participating in the project. The achieved results were presented in a summer school a few months later. At this event, more methodological knowledge was imparted to prepare students for a final simulation game about spatial and economic decision making. In a broader sense, the chapters will present the methodological background of the project, give case studies and show how visualisation and the simulation game works. [Termes IGN] température au solRésumé : (auteur) Sensor-observed energy from adjacent pixels, known as the adjacency effect, influences land surface reflectivity retrieval accuracy in optical remote sensing. As the spatial resolution of thermal infrared (TIR) images increases, the adjacency effect may influence land surface temperature (LST) retrieval accuracy in TIR remote sensing. However, to our knowledge, few studies have focused on quantifying this adjacency effect on TIR measurements. In this study, a forward adjacency effect radiative transfer model (FAERTM) was developed to quantify the adjacency effect on high-spatial-resolution TIR measurements. The model was verified to be in good agreement with moderate resolution atmospheric transmission (MODTRAN) code, with a discrepancy 3 K in some cases. These findings indicate that the adjacency effect should be considered when retrieving LSTs from TIR measurements, at least in some specific conditions. The proposed FAERTM provides a useful model for quantifying and addressing the adjacency effect on TIR measurements Numéro de notice : A2019-600 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1109/TGRS.2019.2928525 Date de publication en ligne : 06/08/2019 En ligne : http://doi.org/10.1109/TGRS.2019.2928525 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=94599

[Termes IGN] voisinage (relation topologique)Résumé : (auteur) Modelling topological relationships between places and events is challenging especially because these relationships are dynamic, and their evolutionary analysis relies on the explanatory power of representing their interactions across different temporal resolutions. In this paper, we introduce the Space-Time Varying Graph (STVG) based on the whole graph approach that combines directed and bipartite subgraphs with a time-tree for representing the complex interaction between places and events across time. We demonstrate how the proposed STVG can be exploited to identify and extract evolutionary patterns of traffic accidents using graph metrics, ad-hoc graph queries and clustering algorithms. The results reveal evolutionary patterns that uncover the places with high incidence of accidents over different time resolutions, reveal the main reasons why the traffic accidents have occurred, and disclose evolving communities of densely connected traffic accidents over time. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) Analyzing and extracting geometric features from 3D data is a fundamental step in 3D scene understanding. Recent works demonstrated that deep learning architectures can operate directly on raw point clouds, i.e. without the use of intermediate grid-like structures. These architectures are however not designed to encode contextual information in-between objects efficiently. Inspired by a global feature aggregation algorithm designed for images (Zhao et al., 2017), we propose a 3D pyramid module to enrich pointwise features with multi-scale contextual information. Our module can be easily coupled with 3D semantic segmentation methods operating on 3D point clouds. We evaluated our method on three large scale datasets with four baseline models. Experimental results show that the use of enriched features brings significant improvements to the semantic segmentation of indoor and outdoor scenes. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) With the product TopPlusOpen, the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) has for the first time provided a freely accessible web map, which is based entirely on open or free data sources. For this purpose, the BKG processed and combined many different data sources in order to achieve the best possible map presentation. Among others, free official spatial data of the Federal Government and the Open Data states Berlin, Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia are presented in the product. Furthermore, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Rhineland-Palatinate provide their official spatial data for TopPlusOpen based on a cooperation agreement so that also these states are presented exclusively by official data. The services of the TopPlusOpen were released in September 2017. The product was very well received by the public, private and scientific sectors and is already used as a background map in many geoportals. The free access and the cross-border map presentation are especially mentioned.
