[Termes IGN] programmation linéaireRésumé : (auteur) In this article, we address the time-critical work of emergency services in the field of disaster and emergency response. Aiming at saving valuable human and time resources during emergency operations, we present one exact and one heuristic approach for the automatic placement of tactical symbols in situation maps. Such maps are used to establish situational awareness and to convey mission-relevant information to emergency personnel. Usually, the information is communicated through the visualization of descriptive symbols which are predominantly placed in a manual process. We automate this process based on an established map layout used by emergency services in Germany that distributes the symbols to the map boundaries. Following general principles and observations from existing literature, we formalize the symbol placement as an optimization problem. We take into account the relevance of tactical symbols as well as short and crossing-free leaders and allow the grouped representation of symbols of similar semantics and spatially close map locations. In experiments with real-world data, we determine a balance between the optimization criteria and show that our heuristic generates high-quality results in less than a second. In an assessment by an expert, we get confirmation that our maps are suitable for use in emergency scenarios. [Termes IGN] sphère paramétriqueRésumé : (auteur) We propose a novel minimal solver for sphere fitting via its 2D central projection, i.e., a special ellipse. The input of the presented algorithm consists of contour points detected in a camera image. General ellipse fitting problems require five contour points. However, taking advantage of the isotropic spherical target, three points are enough to define the tangent cone parameters of the sphere. This yields the sought ellipse parameters. Similarly, the sphere center can be estimated from the cone if the radius is known. These proposed geometric methods are rapid, numerically stable, and easy to implement. Experimental results—on synthetic, photorealistic, and real images—showcase the superiority of the proposed solutions to the state-of-the-art methods. A real-world LiDAR-camera calibration application justifies the utility of the sphere-based approach resulting in an error below a few centimeters. [Termes IGN] réseau neuronal siamoisRésumé : (auteur) Change detection (CD) in remote sensing images is one of the most important technical options to identify changes in observations in an efficient manner. CD has a wide range of applications, such as land use investigation, urban planning, environmental monitoring and disaster mapping. However, the frequently occurring class imbalance problem brings huge challenges to the change detection applications. To address this issue, we develop a novel global-aware siamese network (GAS-Net), aiming to generate global-aware features for efficient change detection by incorporating the relationships between scenes and foregrounds. The proposed GAS-Net, consisting of the global-attention module (GAM) and foreground-awareness module (FAM) that both learns contextual relationships and enhances symbiotic relation learning between scene and foreground. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed GAS-Net, achieving up to 91.21% and 95.84% F1 score on two widely used public datasets, i.e., Levir-CD and Lebedev-CD dataset. [Termes IGN] simulation hydrodynamiqueRésumé : (auteur) The modelling errors of marine geoid models may reach up to a few decimetres in the shorter wavelength spectrum due to gravity data void areas and/or inaccurate data. Various data acquisition methods can provide sea surface heights more accurately. Similarly, hydrodynamic model data in conjunction with tide gauge readings allow the derivation of reliable dynamic topography. Geometrical marine geoid heights, independent of the usual gravity-based marine geoid models, can be obtained by removing the estimated dynamic topography from sea surface height measurements. This study exploits such geometry information to refine marine geoid models. A data assimilation approach was developed that iteratively combines sea surface height and dynamic topography datasets with an initial gravimetric geoid model. A case study is presented using sea surface heights from shipborne GNSS campaigns and an airborne laser scanning survey for refining the EIGEN-6C4 global geopotential model. Comparisons with a high-resolution regional marine geoid model reveal that the initial discrepancies of up to around two decimetres reduce to sub-decimetre within the study area. It is concluded that the developed iterative data assimilation approach can significantly improve the accuracy of marine geoid models, especially in regions where gravity data are of poor quality or unavailable. In recent years, lidar has developed rapidly from single-wavelength to multispectral hyperspectral imaging. The multispectral airborne lidar Optech Titan is the first commercial system that can collect point cloud data on 1550, 1064, and 532 nm channels. This study proposes a method of point cloud segmentation in the preprocessed intensity interpolation process to solve the problem of inaccurate intensity at the boundary during point cloud interpolation. The entire experiment consists of three steps. First, a multispectral lidar point cloud is obtained using point cloud segmentation and intensity interpolation; the spatial dimension advantage of the multispectral point cloud is used to improve the accuracy of spectral information interpolation. Second, point clouds are divided into eight categories by constructing geometric information, spectral reflectance information, and spectral characteristics. Accuracy evaluation and contribution analysis are also conducted through point cloud truth value and classification results. Lastly, the spatial dimension information is enhanced by point cloud drop sampling, the method is used to solve the error caused by airborne scanning and single-tree extraction of urban trees. Classification results showed that point cloud segmentation before intensity interpolation can effectively improve the interpolation and classification accuracies. The total classification accuracy of the data is improved by 3.7%. Compared with the extraction result (377) of single wood without subsampling treatment, the result of the urban tree extraction proved the effectiveness of the proposed method with a subsampling algorithm in improving the accuracy. Accordingly, the problem of over-segmentation is solved, and the final single-wood extraction result (329) is markedly consistent with the real situation of the region.
