[Termes IGN] urbanismeRésumé : (auteur) When arranging the pedestrian infrastructure, one of the most important components that make a tangible contribution to the safety of pedestrians is to organize the safe road crossing. In cities, pedestrians often cross a road in the wrong place due to established routes or inadequate location of crosswalks. Accidents with the participation of pedestrians who crossed the road neglecting the traffic rules, make up a significant part of the total amount of road accidents. In this paper, we propose a method that allows us, on the basis of the results of a computer simulation of pedestrian traffic, to obtain predicted routes for road crossing and to indicate optimal locations for crosswalks that take into account established pedestrian routes and increase their safety. The work describes an extension for the existing AntRoadPlanner simulation algorithm, which searches for and clusters points where pedestrians cross the roadway and suggests locations for new crosswalks. This method was tested on the basis of a comparative simulation of several territories before and after its application, as well as on the basis of a field study of the territories. The developed algorithm can also be used to search for other potentially dangerous places for pedestrians on plans of districts, for example, crossings in places with limited visibility. [Termes IGN] optimisation (mathématiques)Résumé : (auteur) Choropleth mapping provides a simple but effective visual presentation of geographical data. Traditional choropleth mapping methods assume that data to be displayed are certain. This may not be true for many real-world problems. For example, attributes generated based on surveys may contain sampling and non-sampling error, and results generated using statistical inferences often come with a certain level of uncertainty. In recent years, several studies have incorporated uncertain geographical attributes into choropleth mapping with a primary focus on identifying the most homogeneous classes. However, no studies have yet accounted for the possibility that an areal unit might be placed in a wrong class due to data uncertainty. This paper addresses this issue by proposing a robustness measure and incorporating it into the optimal design of choropleth maps. In particular, this study proposes a discretization method to solve the new optimization problem along with a novel theoretical bound to evaluate solution quality. The new approach is applied to map the American Community Survey data. Test results suggest a tradeoff between within-class homogeneity and robustness. The study provides an important perspective on addressing data uncertainty in choropleth map design and offers a new approach for spatial analysts and decision-makers to incorporate robustness into the mapmaking process. [Termes IGN] vitesseRésumé : (auteur) The sound speed is a key parameter that affects the underwater acoustic positioning and navigation. Aiming at the high-precision construction of sound speed field in the complex marine environment, this paper proposes a sound speed field model based on back propagation neural network (BPNN) by considering the correlation of learning samples. The method firstly uses measured ocean parameters to construct the temperature and salinity field. Then the spatial position, the temperature and the salinity information are used to construct the global ocean sound speed field based on the back propagation neural network algorithm. During the processing, the learning samples of back propagation neural network are selected based on the correlation between sound speed and distance. The proposed algorithm is validated by the global Argo data as well as compared with the spatial interpolation and the empirical orthogonal function (EOF) algorithm. The results demonstrate that the average root mean squares of the BPNN considering the correlation of learning samples is 0.352 m/s compared to the 1.527 m/s of EOF construction and the 2.661 m/s of spatial interpolation, with an improvement of 76.9% and 86.8%. Therefore, the proposed algorithm can improve the construction accuracy of sound speed field in the complex marine environment. [Termes IGN] télémétrie laser terrestreRésumé : (auteur) The accuracy of geometric parameters (mainly referred to the incidence angle and measuring distance) in a terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) is not only influenced by the TLS intrinsic systematic instrumental error but also the extrinsic received intensity data. However, the current error compensation methods for geometric parameters mainly focus on the calibration of TLS intrinsic systematic instrumental error and rarely consider the extrinsic intensity data correction. For this reason, this article presents a new method integrating the TLS intrinsic systematic instrumental error calibration and extrinsic intensity data correction to compensate the TLS geometric parameter error. The error compensation procedure is implemented as follows. First, the error compensation mathematical model integrated with TLS intrinsic systematic instrumental error calibration parameters and extrinsic intensity data correction coefficient is established. Second, the hybrid harmonic analysis (HA) and the adaptive wavelet neural network (AWNN) algorithm are proposed to calculate the TLS incidence angle error compensation values. Subsequently, the cubic spline interpolation (CSI) is applied to compute the measuring distance error compensate values. Finally, the TLS (model FARO Focus S150) and the hemispherical angle calibration instrument were used to evaluate the proposed compensation method. The experimental results demonstrate that the geometric parameters are significantly influenced by the intensity data received from TLS, and the proposed method can effectively improve the overall accuracy of the TLS incidence angle and measuring distance. [Termes IGN] R (langage)Résumé : (Auteur) The objective of this article is to evaluate the performance of three pan‐sharpening algorithms (high‐pass filter, principal component analysis and Gram–Schmidt) to increase the spatial resolution of five types of multispectral images and to evaluate the results in terms of color, coherence and spatial sharpness, both qualitatively and quantitatively. A secondary objective is to present an implementation of the aforementioned pan‐sharpening techniques within the open source software R. From a qualitative point of view, pan‐sharpening of images with a high spatial resolution ratio give better results than those whose spatial resolution ratio is 2. According to the quantitative evaluation, there is no pan‐sharpening methodology that obtains optimal results simultaneously for all types of images used. The results of the spectral and spatial ERGAS index vary for four out of the five types of images analyzed. The results show that none of the methods implemented in this work can be considered a priori better than the others. At the same time, this work indicates the importance of both qualitative and quantitative assessment.
