[Termes IGN] réduction géométriqueRésumé : (Auteur) Exploring the geometric prior in the dimensionality reduction (DR) of hyperspectral image data (HID) is an important issue because it can overcome the possible overclassification of spectrally homogeneous areas in the HID classification. In this paper, the local geometric similarity of hyperspectral vectors is explored in both the manifold domain and image domain, and a semisupervised dual-geometric subspace projection (DGSP) approach is proposed for the DR of HID, by utilizing both labeled and unlabeled samples. First, the geometric information in the manifold domain is captured by a sparse coding-based geometric graph, and then, a local-consistency-constrained geometric matrix is defined to reveal the geometric structure in the image domain. Second, unlabeled samples are used to refine the geometric structure by defining a pairwise similarity matrix. Third, three scatter matrices are then derived from these similarity matrices to find the optimal subspace projection that captures the most important properties of the subspaces with respect to classification. Some experiments are taken on the airborne visible infrared imaging spectrometer (AVIRIS) HID to prove the efficiency of the proposed method. [Termes IGN] pouvoir de résolution spectraleRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, we present a novel spatial and spectral fusion model (SASFM) that uses sparse matrix factorization to fuse remote sensing imagery with different spatial and spectral properties. By combining the spectral information from sensors with low spatial resolution (LSaR) but high spectral resolution (HSeR) (hereafter called HSeR sensors), with the spatial information from sensors with high spatial resolution (HSaR) but low spectral resolution (LSeR) (hereafter called HSaR sensors), the SASFM can generate synthetic remote sensing data with both HSaR and HSeR. Given two reasonable assumptions, the proposed model can integrate the LSaR and HSaR data via two stages. In the first stage, the model learns from the LSaR data a spectral dictionary containing pure signatures, and in the second stage, the desired HSaR and HSeR data are predicted using the learned spectral dictionary and the known HSaR data. The SASFM is tested with both simulated data and actual Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) and Terra Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) acquisitions, and it is also compared to other representative algorithms. The experimental results demonstrate that the SASFM outperforms other algorithms in generating fused imagery with both the well-preserved spectral properties of MODIS and the spatial properties of ETM+. Generated imagery with simultaneous HSaR and HSeR opens new avenues for applications of MODIS and ETM+. [Termes IGN] modèle non linéaireRésumé : (Auteur) Nonlinear spectral mixture models have recently received particular attention in hyperspectral image processing. In this paper, we present a novel optimization method of nonlinear unmixing based on a generalized bilinear model (GBM), which considers the second-order scattering of photons in a spectral mixture model. Semi-nonnegative matrix factorization (semi-NMF) is used for the optimization to process a whole image in matrix form. When endmember spectra are given, the optimization of abundance and interaction abundance fractions converge to a local optimum by alternating update rules with simple implementation. The proposed method is evaluated using synthetic datasets considering its robustness for the accuracy of endmember extraction and spectral complexity, and shows smaller errors in abundance fractions rather than conventional methods. GBM-based unmixing using semi-NMF is applied to the analysis of an airborne hyperspectral image taken over an agricultural field with many endmembers, and it visualizes the impact of a nonlinear interaction on abundance maps at reasonable computational cost. [Termes IGN] programmation par contraintesRésumé : (Auteur) Hyperspectral Unmixing (HU) has received increasing attention in the past decades due to its ability of unveiling information latent in hyperspectral data. Unfortunately, most existing methods fail to take advantage of the spatial information in data. To overcome this limitation, we propose a Structured Sparse regularized Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (SS-NMF) method based on the following two aspects. First, we incorporate a graph Laplacian to encode the manifold structures embedded in the hyperspectral data space. In this way, the highly similar neighboring pixels can be grouped together. Second, the lasso penalty is employed in SS-NMF for the fact that pixels in the same manifold structure are sparsely mixed by a common set of relevant bases. These two factors act as a new structured sparse constraint. With this constraint, our method can learn a compact space, where highly similar pixels are grouped to share correlated sparse representations. Experiments on real hyperspectral data sets with different noise levels demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods significantly.
